Leave the pro-cure groups alone
I will not go into a "major rant" on this subject, yet I will state my beliefs.
There is no "cure" for AS , yet there is treatment for various symptoms.
There are books, websites, etc for educating ourselves and the public.
I hope you understand Bataar it was not personal.
I am sorry that you are sensitive to sunlight.
As for social skills there are also books and websites.
Your other AS symptoms these are normal, and can with self restraint be overcome.
I wish you well.

I have many general interests although I can have an intense hyper-concentration in my fields of interest. Some special interests can be profitable such as an interest in medicine, computers, biology, meteorology, or economic patterns. Thankfully, I will use my interests in order to pursue a career in medicine. I had this interest since the 5th grade when I was reading college medical textbooks. I have decided to go back to fulfill my dreams of becoming an M.D. I think you are in the wrong career.
Just for curiosity, what are your special interests?
My big interests include sport fishing, which is the one I can only do a few times a year because I don't own a boat myself and bank access is getting smaller and smaller in my state. That's the one I can only do a few times a year. Another one is board games. I love playing strategy/war/euro style board games. However, this requires other people and I don't really have friends that can play. I do belong to a group that meets once a month to play though. I also very much enjoy watching good TV shows. Thankfully, that is something I can do by myself throughout most of the year. Imagine if you could only work with medicine a few times a year at most.
As far as I am concerned they are "snake oil sales people." To cure one of AS a "brain doctor" would have to "rewire" my brain.
These people are deceiving themselves and others. These are the new "Nazis". They need to be "watched".
We need to protect ourselves from their "dangerous" doctrine.
I think you have paranoia, the feeling that somebody is watching and chasing you, without any reason. You created some imaginary people, new Nazies, who are after you. So, you need to cure that in the first place before you start discussing the cure for yourself and expecially for other people. Actually, even if you feel that you do not need any treatment, your claim that other people also do not need treatment (because you do not need it!) is a very selfish thing to do.

And how much did Autism Speaks pay you to say that here? Heh. It's your unlucky day, because I was already in a bad mood and now that I've read this, I'm officially pissed off. What you fail to realize, jerk, is that some want to be cured, some don't. I DON'T want to be cured. I've come a long way with social skills therapy and a MINIMUM of pharmecutical treatment. I can practically pass for an NT, and I do at my school. Now, if someone ELSE wants to be cured, more power to them. The only objection we have with a potential cure is not having a say as individuals whether or not we are cured. 80% of autistic individuals are capable of living normally or with minimal support provided they receive early intervention, as I did. Now, if someone wants to be cured of autism, that is their decision: not their parents, not their doctors, and certainly not some whack job organization with paranoia problems of their own. I mean, just look at the Autism Speaks founder! How insane do you have to be if you think the BEST thing for you and your child is driving the both of you off a bridge?! She tried to do that! And you want HER and her MISLEAD PROPAGANDA and her BRIBED, BRAINWASHED MINIONS (for lack of a better word, because there IS NO OTHER WORD for this farce) to decide what is best for US?!. 'Cause if you are, you are no friend of mine. Now if you want to call me paranoid to my face, I invite you to take your sorry ass down to Arlington, Tennessee. I'll be waiting in Depot Square with a smile and a hiking pole, because I don't argue with idiots like you.

Godwin's Law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies)[1] is an adage formulated by Mike Godwin in 1990. The law states:[2][3]
"As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one."
Godwin's Law is often cited in online discussions as a deterrent against the use of arguments in the reductio ad Hitlerum form.
The rule does not make any statement about whether any particular reference or comparison to Hitler or the Nazis might be appropriate, but only asserts that one arising is increasingly probable. It is precisely because such a comparison or reference may sometimes be appropriate, Godwin has argued[4] that overuse of Nazi and Hitler comparisons should be avoided, because it robs the valid comparisons of their impact. Although in one of its early forms Godwin's Law referred specifically to Usenet newsgroup discussions,[5] the law is now applied to any threaded online discussion: electronic mailing lists, message boards, chat rooms, and more recently blog comment threads and wiki talk pages.
