Virtual parties kind of sound not real enough either. And not as good as real parties.

Been working at home Depot since October 2020. Four holiday parties, did not attend. This year, a human resources employee asked me if I was going to the party and I answered "no car". She asked where I was coming from and I answered. It is correct that my worthless corpse ain't got no car, and the public transportation to and from the party, at that time, inconvenient. But no matter how convenient the party was, I still would not have gone

When my old man was alive, I went to their holiday parties. But the whole family was going and the food was delicious and expensive.

A disproportionate number of the Home Depot employees, to me , appear to act like wild animals. Even when they are at work and (supposedly) sober. Thus, as a result, I could not get imagine, and don't want to know, how those lil dipshits acted at the party

One Reddit post said that the venue kicked out home Depot, one time

 This might be my reason to attend and watch the show from a safe distance.

This was great. What about having a new years eve party thread?

I would be up to hosting if I liked the month of January. I do not care for January, so I will have to wait until the next Christmas party and host that thread instead, but not with so much music next time. Are there any January lovers who would be willing to start a New Year's Eve thread?

I think a thread of that type would work. I apologize for what I said about January.

Cool!, if I don't see one. I'll start a thread on new years eve

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, I just commented that because you called out January lovers

My Nana's birthday was in January. It gave me something to look forward to that month.

Almost missed this part. Did you also get attacked in the thread for answering the op’s question with what you think about online parties? Or did they skip to just attacking you via pm instead? (I was lucky enough to get both!)

Apparently not. Feel free to go see for yourself earlier in this thread the folks that decided to criticize and mock my response. Sure seemed like attacks to me.

I didn't mean it that way. My grammar isn't that good.

I am sorry I missed the event.

First, I was struck with the flu, and could only sleep, eat, use the bathroom, and take meds for a couple of days.

Second, a tree branch knocked out our Internet connection.

Third, I was struck in the face by the tree branch while trying to remove it, scratched both corneas, and couldn't see for a couple more days.

I can now move around, see, and connect to the Internet, but I missed all the fun of Christmas 2023.

Sooo, you’d rather scratch your eyes out than attend a Christmas party? :p
