Will there be a party around February 10th? That is the Spring Festival I will celebrate. I don’t mean to emphasize the Eastern culture, I just want to have a place to share during the celebration.

Is that what we refer to as Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year?

Start your own thread then. Nothing stopping you.

I'd be happy to start a thread.

I am sorry I missed the event.

First, I was struck with the flu, and could only sleep, eat, use the bathroom, and take meds for a couple of days.

Second, a tree branch knocked out our Internet connection.

Third, I was struck in the face by the tree branch while trying to remove it, scratched both corneas, and couldn't see for a couple more days.

I can now move around, see, and connect to the Internet, but I missed all the fun of Christmas 2023.

I'm so sorry to hear that all these things happened to you! I hope you're feeling better.

I agree. People should be able to vent without being picked on and the Christmas season isn't a bed of roses for everyone.

I'm one of the lucky ones who can enjoy the Christmas season. Some people aren't so lucky. I have a friend who grew up in an orphanage. Her and her brothers and sisters got nice toys for Christmas. Two months later, the toys were taken away and given to the kids next door, because the people who ran the orphanage thought they were being bad.

Years ago someone on this site said that they didn't know if they could become close to me because the obsession I had at the time would even be to much for them to handle. That was back in the December of 2006 and I almost left WP never to come back that night. My special interest was Routemaster buses, the original ones. I had a horrible bout of anxiety that night. I'm glad I didn't leave WP and you get to see me as I'm meant to be, today.

Being the sniveller that I am, I made a huge thread and a big deal about it.
