Everyone has the right to choose to get vaccinated or not.

Nobody ought to be made.

Unless we accept to hurt one, in any form, to make sure the other is safe.

He's right, you know - we can't let terriers hold this nation hostile! Nor bull mastiffs, either! Rottweilers can, though, if they want...

They're rubbish. Toy poodles are even worse, with their stupid hair and stupid faces.

Pomeranians, on the other hand... now THEY have energy. ;)

I want a dachsund... My last dog was a Newfie-lab cross and she was amazing. But... we digress...or is that regress? Either way... we're now sufficiently waaaaay off topic. :D

Hahaha, that we are! I don't actually like dogs. I can definitely see myself winding up a cat-lady, however...! !

Now see, that's where we differ. I'm dog people. I detest cats.

Grr, this thread has gone off on a tangent topic

We have dog and cat threads in Random Discussion. This thread concerns members opinions on vaccination. Please stay on topic. Some of us are becoming confused. :? Thank you.

Sorry!!

Right... to kick off the back-on-trackness, in my recent digging around for another article I found this:

http://www.nexusmagazine.com/index.php? ... &Itemid=71

(First article obviously, it's a PDF or I'd put the direct link).

LeKiwi, you said you're a journalist... Nexus isn't exactly considered reliable amongst mainstream journalists. What gives?

I don't see any harm in reading different sources... I think it's healthy even. Considering there's about five people who own pretty much all of the world's 'mainstream' media outlets and networks I think most decent journalists should be looking a bit outside the square and seeing what people beyond that sphere of control are saying and finding. Broadening perspectives and all that sorta thing!! Plus Nexus isn't exactly mainstream and they do report some pretty wacky stuff at times, but it's always interesting at least, and the majority of their contributors are pretty reputable (PhDs, decades of experience as investigative journos... I'd bet even a few Aspies following their particular thing even!). I think it's probably a lot more reliable and of better quality than some of the more tabloid style 'omgz watch out for teh NWO!' type ones you see around the place. :)

Under normal circumstances, I might agree... Even citing CNN as a news source I might buy, but, Nexus? That's akin to citing rense.com as a reliable source. Nexus has cited the Oklahoma bombing as being the result of a CIA conspiracy, among other things.

There is having an open mind and then there is using smoke and mirrors to make a point using Nexus is akin to smoke and mirrors.

What I like about them though is the variety of different authors... they may print stuff that's a bit out there at times, but it depends on who's written it as to whether you trust it 100% or not. I like that it isn't overly censored - you just need to read it with an open mind and work out for yourself what's accurate and what's likely speculation and over-exaggeration. So what they print may or may not be their own personal beliefs and opinions, but the author's instead, yet they'll still print it because somewhere there'll be people who will agree with it. It kinda hands that responsibility back to the reader (who knows to expect that when they pick it up and purchase it).
