See its not a coincidence that you're gay? And support the forum. And vice versa with me.

You need to stop harassing us about this and go talk to Alex. This is not a picket line for protesters or a rant thread, it's a "Thank You" thread. We have a right to say our "Thank Yous" without you bothering us and you carrying on about how you think it's unfair and you disapprove of this subforum over and over again. You have more than made your point in here and in other threads of this subforum. Now it's time for you to move on.

I wasn't harassing anyone. You need to respect other people's opinion's that aren't of the majority. I've already explained that this forum would never be taken away, so talking to Alex would be pointless. I'm not sure why this topic is a sticky. People have said thanks, time to move on.

It's a TOS requirement to stay on topic.

Taupey only pointed you're off topic. No I can't, if you want details ask Alex.

And make sure you stay on topic, else you're in direct violation of the TOS. Any unrelated questions should be posted separately or asked privately.

Na, her other post was "shurrup"

Well i'd hope staying neutral was in your TOS. It seems its ok to question the legitimacy of threads in other cases. I did have a thread about the bad idea of this forum, but you locked it. But yes, back to topic.

It is you who doesn't have respect for other people's opinions, like Alex's opinion that we needed this subform and his decision to create it for the LGBT members of his website WrongPlanet.net. Like I said, you have made your point clear, we know how you feel about this subforum. Stop bothering us about it over and over again, that is harassment. It is time for you to let this go and leave us alone about it.

If you have already written to Alex about it, and you already made comments about it in here even though this is not the appropriate thread to do it in, then there is nothing else to do. Do you understand what I'm saying? We have already ALLOWED You to EXPRESS your opinion. You are harassing us by talking about it over and over again. Have I made myself clear MurphyCop?

I could never have respect for double standards, and i've explained that already. The fact this forum was demanded is pretty poor. But yes, I understand, thats why I said back to topic, ok?

I was writing my comment and went back to add more to make myself clear as I possibly can. You need to take that into consideration that some of us are not as quick with commenting as you might be and not get nasty about it MurphyCop.

Yes, you have made your beliefs very clear and I'm glad you have decided to stay on topic now.

I'm not psychic  I didn't know you'd add more, or that you hadn't finished your post, especially when you'd already made the post. I've noticed a few people do that. I'm not getting nasty about it, and I understand your point, so don't worry.

ok.

Although I took great exception to the way in which BrendaEM went about requesting this topic and that I argued against it's creaton on the basis of it's adverse effect on other forums, it seems that I have been proved wrong (so far) in the latter respect. I like how the forum has really seemed to only contain relevant threads and not LGBT L&D stuff, etc. Hopefully posts from dicks will stop soon too! :D

It's good you have a place of your own and are staying with us too!

Okay, Murphycop, I've been holding back, but now I've had enough. By your standards all of Wrong Planet is a bad idea. After all, there are no forums out there specifically for NTs.

Of course, that logic is ridiculous--Aspies have different issues than NTs and a different way of looking at the world. Well, the same applies to the LGBT forum--although the Dating and Romance forum (and the Adult Issues forum) can serve everyone, there are some issues that are specific to LGBT people, and therefore it makes sense to have a place to discuss them. If people wanted a forum for straight people then I'd have no problem with that. However, I don't see that happening, since about 95% of the population is straight anyway and therefore the Dating and Romance forums work well for them. But if they wanted a forum just for straight people I'd be fine with it.

I made the two stickies here, and I did that because they each seemed appropriate here in a new forum.

Then you should take it up with the moderators. Maybe you should also rally up more like-minded members. If there is enough demand for a particular forum, then the moderators might create it.

I disagree. I never go into the women's forum, because I'm not a woman and the things discussed there are of no concern to me. I doubt many people will visit a forum in which issues that are of no concern to them are discussed.

Actually they can be, sometimes a male's view could be a neutral one in some cases, and might offer some outside info that could be helpful.

If a woman were to start a topic in which she was interested in hearing men's points of view, then why would she post it in the women's subforum to begin with?

Why? Women are strange creatures and I don't expect any man will have the answers here or know the questions.

Thankfully they think us strange too.
