I dream a lot. They're always in color and I can often remember them. I can sometimes read small amounts of text.

When I fall asleep, I almost immediately start dreaming. I've dreamed during surprisingly brief naps including briefly nodding off in the passenger seat of a car or in class.

I had dreams about driving a car before I ever actually drove one, but they were always an invisible car - like a child playing pretend. This is despite having seen people driving cars plenty of times as a passenger and in TV/movies. It's like my brain just couldn't imagine it until I'd actually done it. When real people or places appear in my dreams they frequently don't look like they do in real life; in the dream, I just know who they're supposed to be.

I've woken up from one dream into another dream on several occasions. I've also woken up then fallen asleep back into the same dream.

Whenever I have a fever, I hate sleeping because I get very repetitive, vague, reoccurring dreams. Not nightmares, just tiresome. It's like my brain is trying to process something, but the fever is causing it to get stuck. It makes for some of my worst nights of sleep.

It's almost impossible for me to lucid dream. There are lots of dreams where I say/think "This is just like those dreams I've had...except this time it's real!"

Vivid dreams...

I have several sleep disorders. I fight in my sleep, kick, etc... When I was a kid I walked in my sleep.

I sleepwalked as a kid too. Freaked my mom out. She's the only reason I know it happened. She started putting a chair in front of the door anytime we stayed in a motel because one time I apparently tried to walk out in my sleep. I guess it stopped by the time I hit puberty.

Based on how I wake up I must toss and turn a lot in my sleep. Occasionally I will wake up with my arm numb because I rolled over on top of it.

Personally, I sensed that my (sleep) dreams are most often closer to NT dreams than to those dreams which may be dreamed by people on the Autism Spectrum. Sometimes my dreams involve third-person perspectives- where I'm judging and seeing myself.

The exception being that most of my dreams involving interactions with people are generally passive interactions - hence this may reflect challenges (stemming from the Autism Spectrum) with active particiaption in social interaction. Go figure.
