The Book of Boba Fett
That right there is really my biggest issue; Boba Fett is supposed to be a crime lord, but he doesn't do any crime? Sure, play him as a bit more of a benevolent gangster than Jabba was, but he wasn't a gangster at all, he was more like an armed community organizer than anything.

Boba's character isn't just soft/family friendly (ala Disney/Kathleen Kennedy) he also isn't thinking straight. Instead of using the rancor why didn't he just go back and use Slave one to take out the Pike Syndicate. I suppose the rancor might have been able to penetrate the droid force shields?
It's not just the shallow kiddy slapstick antics but its the lack of proper character development which at least you see in Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. I prefer the dark vibe from the old republic video games to Kathleen Kennedy's family viewing which I suspect isn't what Star Wars fans in 2022 want either.
I was disappointed with this series. Boba Fett deserved a darker storyline than this.
I didn't like how the series was written to feature more of Mando. But seeing him and Grogu at the end made me more excited for Mando season 3.
BTW, I wonder if we'll see The Sheriff again, since they made such a point of showing him in the finale post-credits scene.

I think the sheriff will continue to play an important role in later seasons after he gets "modded" up. I think this is an avenue that could make the Book of Boba fett different to the Mandalorian and the Kenobi series.
When Fenec Shand was killed Boba took her body to the Mods who operated on her making her a cyborg before reviving her. I would love to see Boba in charge of a cyborg army to run Tatooine. It opens up new and unique story lines. There are other cyborgs in star wars including Darth Maul.
Finally when Boba is in the bacta tank he continiues to have psychological issues over the death of his father Jango. In the story line this has to play out in either the next season or the one after that. His character may be reformed but he is still driven by revenge (as per clone wars and in against the bikers/Pikes who murdered his Tusken tribe). This can mean only one thing can alleviate his torment over his father's demise, A final meeting with the lost jedi who robbed him of his father.

If Mace Windu is alive at all. Getting his hands sliced off, then hurled by force bolts out a skyscraper window might have ended the life of any Jedi.

There's a podcast called "Star Wars Theory" which went through the star wars "scientific" evidence (based on the laws of Star wars) for how he (Mace) could survive the 2km fall through the window of the senate building in Coruscant.
Mace was capable of using both the light and dark side of the force. Knowing his arm was chopped and he was betrayed by Anniken his fury/frustration would invoke the dark side which coincidentally allowed Maul and Palpatine to survive their respective falls as well.
Turning to the dark side Mace would therefore no longer be vested any longer with the Jedi and would no longer threaten the emperor which explains why he would not intervene to help the remaining Jedi (Yoda and Palpatine would detect his life energy in the force so he couldn't remain invisible forever).

Interesting. But is it cannon?

That's just it. When Mace was written as falling out the window he was largely forgotten from Canon. However, Lucas himself acknowledged that in Star wars unless there is a body and a light sabre then there is no guarantee the jedi is dead. They have now bought back three dead characters, Palpatine, Darth Maul and Boba Fett (all three were supposed to have died in Canon). So in this respect Mace's surivival is quite plausible,
