6+ types of beer, 6 dozen eggs, whiskey, gin, rum, and a bunch of very expensive mustard from some gourmet deli.
With the ferry trip and lunch for 3 it was a several hundred dollar adventure, but whatever - booze and mustard will keep just fine.
Hmmm.. actually a pretty good haul all in all.
Yep! I forgot I also bought a jar of some fancy organic unpasteurized kimchi.
We didn't feel like going to check out any museum, art gallery, government buildings or fancy restaurants with the 2-3 hours we had to kill, so we just drove around and did a little sight seeing. Drove over a bridge into Esquimalt to the gates of CFB Esquimalt (Canadian Forces Base - Navy.) and snapped a pic in a Tsunami Hazard Zone. It was really cold so we didn't want to wander around on foot much.
Also had some valuable conversations with my uncle about the whole new family drama stuff going on with the Ministry (of children and family development) and all of the players and stakeholders involved and the various ways these things could play out and how we'll have to adjust our strategy to get our desired outcome should ABC or XYZ happen. While not super in depth, there was some value in talking through these things.
Chat wasn't all serious, though. Lots of conversations about cars and road trips and laughs etc, too.

Also, I swung by my parents' last night to check on them and deliver fresh eggs, uber expensive mustard, drop off beers I'll slowly consume, And open both an award winning bottle of gin from the island as well as a high end bottle of rum I've never seen for sale anywhere before so I could sample them And tell my parents to feel free to drink 'em if they want vs. leave them sealed. The Brugal 1888 (rum) was unbelievably smooth - my mom doesn't really drink rum but she sipped some straight and agreed. No sense in my dad not drinking "the good stuff," in his final chapter of life - so I'm happy to spend the $ on pricey bottles he'd never splash the cash on.

for supporting trump. Because doing so is deplorable.
