I have a thin 25 inch waist with no belly fat so I'm comfortable wearing crop tops and skirts.
I find I don't need A/C during hot summer days which saves a lot on my electric bill!

Sometimes I'll wear a little bit of dark red lipstick if I'm not going to be eating soon when I go out.

I know what you mean! Every time I scratch my nose or something, a bit of makeup/dirt comes off

That's another thing that annoys me! Anything I put on my lips goes into my food and drink! Ewwwwwwwwww! Why do people put things on their lips that will go into what they eat and drink? Surely that is unhealthy.

I sometimes use a lip stain because it's less likely to come off in things.

So the second thing I tried on my face was primer only. Sooooo much better!

Positives
- It made my skin look and feel soft and dewy (that seems to be the buzzword these days)
- It kind of blurred my moles and blemishes
- It wasn't thick and like armour plating, it's a totally different composition/formula

Negatives
- It wasn't coloured, so it didn't actually hide my moles and blemishes

So primer is a much better product for me. Apparently you can get coloured primers, so that's the next thing I'm looking for. They are hard to find right now but I suspect they will become more common.

So I'm continuing with my monopolising Bee33's thread! haha.

I bought Barry M's Fresh Face Illuminating Primer: Cool. (which really means for fair to medium skin. Warm is for medium to dark skin. A strange way to describe them but hey ho)

https://barrym.com/collections/prime-an ... rimer-cool

Positives.
- The same as the previous primer, (skin looks and feels soft and dewy; product is not thick)
- Plus it definitely does illuminate my skin, I look fresh faced like it promises! Apparently there are flakes of silver in the Cool version to reflect light. I might put more of it on tomorrow to really test it out.

Negatives.
- Again, it doesn't hide my blemishes and moles because it is not coloured but hopefully the gorgeousness of the rest of my skin will distract from them.
- It is a tiny tube so it won't last long, but I will be buying it again.

I use a green primer by Smashbox to knock out any redness in my skin.
Sometimes, also a little bit of yellow primer around my eyes to knock out darker colours like purple.
That's if I'm really overtired.

That's useful to know. I am a fan of primer. Those creams are too much for me- BB, CC, moisturiser, foundation. They are uncomfortable and go a funny colour on me, because my skin is paper-white.

I'm super pale too, as a redhead (auburn) with freckles.

I've never used BB but I heard it's really popular. I don't even know what it is, but I don't like wearing stuff so it's just as well. I'm happy enough with my next-to-nothing stuff as it is.

Annoying isn't it to burn so easily.

I tried BB cream and reviewed it on this thread. It was too thick for me but felt okay. Primer is the one for me! I will be experimenting with primers from now on

If all else fails simply go into the nearest decent sized Boots or department store and ask the nicest woman behind the makeup counter for some advice … that’s part if their job description and they are highly trained
