It can hardly be surprising, Musk's call to forget Nazism embracing the AfD and his re-appropriating the Nazi salute as his new version of
"from the bottom of my heart" or in German aus tiefstem Herzen

I imagine at his next meeting for the Dept of Govt Efficiency he'll goose-step to the podium.

Nothing surprising about reactionaries supporting their fellow reactionaries though. :|

It seems likely that many aristocrats feel sympathy for those they feel will secure their privilege and fight against causes that might erode that privilege, like socialism and liberalism.

the aristocracy were also quite fond of manifest destiny and beliefs in genetically superior supermen who bore their ancestors and bestowed privileges that permit them to live the "high life". Sound familiar?
