i would have to say that by scrolling the pages, back to Nov 30. mjs82 i estimate to have whacked 150+. Maybe 200.
mjs82 is the king of whacking

posts, that is.

Okay, I was just trying to be modest. I am doing a check at the moment, I'll have the details shortly...

Okay, I know I'm going to get abuse hurled at me for doing this, but here goes (and, if it's successful, it might help kill this thread off too  )

Here are the names of all the threads I have killed with brute force last year alone.

I thought I was the only one who got paranoid about this. I just checked and I'm the last poster in 19 out of 170 threads I've posted in - that's 11%.

Same here, with similar figures:
Am "most recent" post on 17 of 174 (199 posts, but posted more than once in some) threads. Not including ones from a couple days ago, too soon to tell.
Trying to get used to it, to be comfortable with the uncertainty & unpredictability in the conversations here.
Feel okay that I'm "average" here, in that my number of posts is moderate-I write more than a little, but much less than a lot. Often tough to balance between extremes of observation and participation.

Oh man - I am the worst for this. I am like death to all threads... In fact... I bet I kill this thread too....

Either that, or my message just gets ignored as if it was never even there.. TIK TOK TIK TOK...

I need to work on a WooYayHooplah Fan club.

I just saved five threads from certain death, from the three people above me^^^^^
this makes six, and i am glad to be of service.

And mjs82,
I gave carla your list in ask QC anything. I asked her if she would track them down and post something meaningful in each.
I think i'll offer to do half, then get someone else to do the for me.

Hey, where is the pink flloyd thread at.

I am waaaay too lazy/have posted waaaay to much to go and count.

But it's got to be a lot.

My "ask serissa anything" thread died TWICE, but the second life was much shorter than the first.

Ahem,
would that be shameless self promotion.
If yes, i will ask Serrissa anything.

Yes that could be considered a threat, and i will ask Ante too also, that would be a double threat.
J/K, i would behave myself. maybe.

I reckon we should create the "last poster club"

We should put our names forward, and make a club. And if you ever see a thread that has died with an LPC members name in it you have to post. Once posted, we can wait a preset number of days. If a non club member does not reply to the post within the preset number of days another member of the last posters club will post.

LPC CLUB RULES.

1. Don't talk about LPC
2. DO NOT TALK ABOUT LPC
3. A thread is deemed dead if it meets one of the following requirements:
----A. The last post is over 5 days old.
----B. The thread has reached page 2.
4. All members will put the secret LPC word in the thread saver post. The word is "W00T!"

I nominate myself as first member of LCP.

Come join me....

Also - to prove your worth, you have to save the post of an existing club member to get entry to the club...

Existing members can recruit new members by saving a non members post... it has to be marked "A W00T! Recruit"

Dude, i got someone else to save 30 of mjs82 killed threads, and i plan on saving another 30. Does that pass for initiation.

Actually think about it.

You were the first member, and rightly so.

The second you typed that in order to gain admission into the club, you must save a kill from another member.
Which means that drizzle man is the second member (after you) since he saved you. If he hadn't posted this thread would have died with your name on it.
Now i am the third member.

That means that anyway posting in this thread after WooYay's historical post will be a member :D
