I think I'm getting a plan with a chance of success, but I don't want to get confident or excited for it. I'm just gonna try it with no emotional attachment. I guess what made me happy about it is the fact that something can seem to make sense.

Also, this Killboy podcast. It's seriously making me laugh so much.

Hope everything goes well with your plan. Nothing ever happens without trying first. Best of luck and wishes! :)

My laundry is washed, dried, folded and put away. One less thing to do.

Anyway, I'm happy because today I discovered that I've got a cartload of songs that I could perform at a new venue I've found, that it hasn't been practicable to play for ages. The previous venue has a house band who always try to jam along to everything everybody plays, without rehearsing the songs, so anything with interesting chords would sound rubbish and I had to stick to simple rock and roll or songs that most of them knew. And a lot of my music time was taken up in an ensemble with a couple of other people who chose most of the songs (though they also did most of the work so I'm not complaining about them), and they've stopped jamming and performing.

So I was rehearsing a lot of my old repertoire today and some of it is starting to sound quite promising. Won't get any money from it, but I think the audience is going to enjoy my work. They're very friendly and I'm already making more friends that I can easily cope with there. Tons of new names to learn and one or two opportunities to rehearse stuff with them. Kind of stressful but hopefully I'll get used to it in time and start calming down a bit. I'm like a kid with a new toy.

That is super cool that you do that. I wish there was someone like you in my town. I’d go and listen to the music. Especially if it’s a small venue.

Stay groovy.

Aye, it's great round here for music. And the tourist season is starting so I'll be spoilt for choice soon. Back in the UK, it's all shut down in the town I came from, apart from one new place that's bucking the trend.

I saw a pair of sea eagles, then a red kite then I got swooped from behind by a peregrine falcon. It was a good day for bird action.
