In a Calvin and Hobbes comic arc, Calvin noticed how the days had been getting colder and darker the past few weeks. He thought that it was because the sun was going out, and in a few months the Earth would be a lifeless ball of ice. But it was really just because winter was coming and the hemisphere was tilting further away from the sun.

It's kind of surprising that you don't hear grown adults in real life seriously believing something like this every year.

strange
invite for a coffee, well ok,
inside no coffee in sight, i (and we) were shut up immediately
a hyper talking to & the control of my eyes, being told to not watch elsewhere several times
an small hour and first round of coffee and cake further
a second round came around, hub already whining and poor-me-ing (he does that everytime now with any one)
i found an excuse and got out, now i guess im the bad one again
o well
getting round in the neighborhood as the mean and unsocial one, how did
that thing get started
i get shushed a lot, then when i don't want to play that anymore, i am the mean one

you know that thing that puzzles me
if people get hold of your attention they get very aggressively into getting more

what is that???

Should it ever happen, I would feel great getting involved in the creation of a National Literary Registry or a National Television & Video Registry for the US Library of Congress.

It used to be customary to have hotpot in some parts of the UK on new year's eve

I've always thought it's kind of silly how we all celebrate New Years at different times. It's 2025 for some people and still 2024 for others. It takes the excitement out of the moment when you realize it happens every hour and this is just your turn to celebrate.

I love how times different for everyone

I wonder if it's possible to celebrate new year twice if you got on a plane fast

I'm sure it is possible and to me that just makes it even more silly

Time zones are fascinating, but they do kinda take the fun out of New Years
