My current top 5 would be something like, in no meaningful order:

- sensory integration dysfunction
- random (or not so random) inability to talk
- appearing "caught in my own perception" (that I do not seem to partake in same world as everyone else)
- confronted with the unexpected (having to deal with countless unexpected details every day)
- limited ability to express myself by "parroting" what's been said

1: Socializing, my biggest burden. Not a single clue on how to contribute socially, therefore I appear as quite and shy most of the time. Has lead to isolation outside of work for several years.
2: Organized and too adapted to routines.
3: Depression, caused by anxieties, low-self esteem etc.
4: I'm picky when it comes to food.
5: Easily overwhelmed.

1. Fixating/obsessing over interests
2. So forgetful that I'm the butt of everyone's jokes
3. Lack of empathy for humans but not pets or objects
4. Spacing out and dissociation
5. Not caring/lacking understanding of social situations
My number 6 would be repetitive behaviors/stimming but I usually only do that only at home. I've cut it down to pen tapping and chewing gum, which isn't really noticeable.

3. Obsessive interests and becoming a genius at them.
4. Wanting alone time everyday.
5. Attachment to various inanimate objects and finding comfort in my routines with them.

1. Special interests.
2. Stimming and repetitive routines.
3. Emotional meltdowns. (I have sensory issues, but I don't get sensory overload meltdowns.)
4. Odd sense of humor.
5. Quiet and awkward timing in most social situations that require chit-chat, but can be extremely hyperactive in social situations that include fooling around.

OH! I have a sixth one that was really noticable last year. I'm really jumpy and ticklish, and friends last year liked to scare me from behind, poke and tickle me, or just repeatedly shouting my name. It's not as noticable this year because I tried to distance myself from people (too much work to make new friends), but I will be the only one to scream and flinch at unexpected sounds in class.

There definitely seem to be things common o all of us, that are most troubling

1) Social Isolation
2) Obsessions
3) Stimming
4) Sensory overloads
5) Memory problems

Almost everyone who responded tended to list three or four of these per post.
Speaks volumes about where the dificulties are..

Sincerely,
Matthew

3. Being naive about other people's intentions.
4. Being "small picture" people instead of "big picture".
5. Power to focus on and absorb personal interests.
