With both electric vehicles and hybrids, I feel that vehicles with unfavorable accident safety ratings (as electric vehicles overall are less safe than gas powered vehicles) may be considered a design flaw of sorts.
Overall, the newer models of electric/hybrid vehicles are yielding improvements in accident safety ratings - yet are still below safety ratings in comparison to most gas-powered vehicles.

Which EV's are unsafe in accidents?
First I've heard of this.
Meanwhile, Tesla's Model S was the safest care ever tested in some tests.. it broke the machine trying to crush it.
Many EVs are small compact cars - which naturally (overall) perform worse in accident safety than most gas-powered cars.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) provides crash test data on all models of cars. The 'Consumer Reports' publication is an excellent publication rating many products - including detailed tests/assessments on vehicles.
Here in California, the state wants to phase-out gas powered passenger vehicles by the year 2035.
The WP image page shows your location in Canada. What resources (like IIHS, & Consumer Reports) evaluate vehicles sold in Canada?
No idea. Google?
Vehicles sold in Canada are virtually identical to vehicles sold in the USA, so google results for crash test ratings of any cars will be ~the same - only they may also be available in French.

RELATED: I read that the importation of right-hand drive vehicles (like vehicles in Britain) was an issue in Canada. Do these vehicles include hybrids/EVs?
In the US, only the importation of vintage vehicles with right-hand drive e.g, most notably vintage British sports-cars are allowed into the US.
Was what issue in Canada? Do what vehicles include hybrids/EVs?

Foreign market vehicles have to be at least 15 years old before they can be imported to Canada. The only ones newer than that are maybe Diplomats' cars or something. There are way more Japanese RHD cars on the road here than British classics.
To clarify: LINK to a CBC News story from the year 2010 'Restrict Right-Hand-Drive Autos.....' discusses the concerns at the time regarding 'Right Hand Drive' vehicles. Where any of these vehicles discussed in the CBC news story EVs/Hybrids?

We drive on the left so our cars are right hand drive and we are allowed left hand drive cars but they are harder to insure and cost more to insure (Insurance is compulsary and is expensive).

The article isn't about EV's or hydbrids. It's about RHD vehicles - which I'm sure auto dealerships want banned so that people stop buying used Japanese sports cars and spend their money on new whatever is for sale here. What relevance are EV's or hybrids to this article ??? that doesn't mention either because that's not what it's about.
Highly unlikely that any 15 year old RHD imports are EV's, and quite unlikely they're hybrids. Those aren't typically what get imported. People buy performance cars, cute little Japanese oddities, tiny vans/city delivery trucks, and 4x4 camper vans etc - all ICE vehicles as far as I've ever seen on the roads.
