I found this information about conservatorships in Connecticut (I'm assuming you live there since you said you live in "CT" but did not clarify if it was in the USA).

You will have to do some work to prove that you can live on your own without the support of your conservators. Let us know if we can help with anything. Good luck, and I hope things get better for you.

people have asked this so I'm asking again: Are you in a conservatorship? Why are you in a private school setting at the age of 21? You are legally an adult, they have no right to do that unless you are under some sort of thing. Could you elaborate on your situation please, if you are able to.

I think so because my parents refer to themselves as conservators (a lot of big words are hard to understand) but I said in a different thread that I have attachment issues

oh.. man attachment issues....this sounds like it could be difficult to grow beyond those issues..i do not envy you .
trying to overcome those type issues can be most difficult ..when trying to grow on your own ....hang in there .!
my heart goes out to you .! ..
It is a friggin complex world ..am hoping the best for you .. regardless of what happens :)

These are the important people we need to watch for their progress, is Our progress....the things that happen to the least of us....are the exact things that can happen to the best of us ,,IMHO.
Be patient with your conservator / parents.. until you feel secure emough to strive .To be on your own.. or find a supportive enough environment to help you support, your own situation as you progress in life....
Each of us deals with our own realities as we grow ...perhaps.......
if you have come to an age of adulthood , regardless of attachment issues, you may need to prepare to handle all your own life situations big or little......just a FYI incase you move forward to being on your own .

Huh. What if you get expelled?

You're old enough, go buy a beer, drink it on premises, maybe hand it to someone else. Bam, harmless, yet gone.

1. Stereotypically, women drink wine and champagne, not beer

2. I can't drink, I'm not allowed to.

Women drink whatever the hell they'd like, including beer.

r00tb33r understands you're not allowed to drink, that's part of his plan.
He's asking if it's enough to get you expelled so you're no longer stuck in the abusive school.

I guess it's just the American men are beer drinkers stereotype

Regardless, I can't because I'm forced to be put on meds to prevent me from going insane

I can't because I would get in huge trouble and idk what to do, like I can't bring a flamethrower or something (NOT saying I will, but don't people get expelled for bringing weapons or attacking people or something?)

Ah, I'm supposed to take meds that warn about mixing with alcohol. Thankfully they aren't like Tylenol and alcohol (which can kill you). The main concern is that their depressant effects might multiply.

But, maybe a better version of r00b33r's question would be, is there anything you can do that would lead to being expelled but not face criminal charges?

Making hooch. Gets kicked out and don't even need to drink it hopefully.

Alternatively, just become a bully and harass staff members.

The expelling idea is actually compelling, fun and possibly a very effective plan if it'll work.

In her position, I would intentionally be thoroughly obnoxious and a nightmare to deal with.

Is this some sort of group home or institution disguising itself as a private boarding school for special needs individuals. Do your parents or other family member have guardianship or conservatorship of you?
