I felt like being ridiculous (and quoting the Simpsons) as this is a purposely ridiculous thread. It's my way of saying that this thread amuses me. Sorry, I'm not doing too great at coherency ATM.

No problem. I was also just checking to see if I was still sane... Heh, we all border incoherency at times, I think, whether here at WP or in the real world. Many NTs think I'm incoherent most of the time. ;)

Nope, this thread wasn't meant to be ridiculous. At. All.

It is very, very, very, very, very serious. Very.

Very serious intent, this thread. Serious, real moral, political, social issue, this.

As you can see, the issue is far from settled.

Vowels are part of the digestive tract. After food is digested in the stomach, it goes to the vowels to be absorbed into the blood stream; waste is excreted. There are five definite vowels—A, E, I, O, and U—and a sort of free agent, Y, that's sometimes a vowel and sometimes isn't. Vitamin A, for example, is absorbed into the blood stream through Vowel A. Corn is absorbed in Vowel O. Beef is absorbed in Vowel E.

Just in case; I'd like to point out that NeantHumain was being sarcastic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vowel

If you ask me, the U.S. Supreme Court ruling concering certain sexual acts between consenting adults in the privacy of their own homes heralds a much welcome return to the right rather than an invasion of privacy and individual rights.

Does anyone know what this U.S. Supreme Court ruling was?

Vowels are the letters that you make with an open airway, for example "E" is a vowel, and "T" is consonant (the opposite of a vowel).

The letters B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, W, X, Z and occasionally Y are consonants. The letters A, E, I, O, U, Y, and very occasionally W are vowels.

This is incredibly off-topic. Okay, why is "W" considered a vowel? I've never heard it taught that way and I was wondering if you had a good explanation to your logic.

In US, y isn't a vowel. W is pronounced "double-u", so i can see how that could be a vowel.
