In 1998, a developmental pediatrician diagnosed me with Asperger's syndrome at the age of five...professionally to be precise.

I was diagnosed on the 31/03/2012 with AS at age 16. An easy date to remember because it has two of each number (0,1,2 and 3), which probably makes me sound completely mad, but I think it's cool and hopefully someone else on here can appreciate it too :)

I was diagnosed with AS about five or six years ago. I don't remember much about my reaction to it, but I've gotten used to the fact that I do have autism.

I diagnosed myself as an aspie after watching James Durbin. Is that wierd that I knew we were the same?

My mom suspected me of being autistic sense I was a toddler but only 2 professionals thought I had anything on the spectrum. 1st was a psych who recertified me for dyslexia between 9th & 10th grade; he thought I was an Aspie but he didn't want to label me officially because he wasn't qualified. The 2nd was a psych I saw after I had a mental breakdown when I was 21; she thought I was an Aspie too but her diagnoses isn't considered official in the mental health field due to her not being qualified to test for it & every one else I seen in the mental health field for anything didn't believe I had AS or anything else on the autism spectrum. I'm pretty sure I have AS thou

I was diagnosed with regular autism when I was 4 and re-diagnosed with AS at the age of 13.

Asperger's in 2012, when I was 43.

I was alerted I might be on the Sprectrum, when my son received his diagnosis of ASD (at 2 1/2 years), approx. 5 years prior to my diagnosis and at that time I identified some of the same difficulties in myself.
