Linkin Park - not *supposed* to like them, people rail on em for being commercial, but Hybrid Theory still had a lot of good tracks IMO.

Linkin Park is often dissed by the media for things that aren't there. They're not really any worse than any other successful band, it's just that their an easier target. They do things in an extreme way, without doing anything to stop them from looking like vulnerable targets, which proves too much for some people so to compensate they make up BS rumours that they're a manufactured metal boy band or whatever which is quite opposite of the truth (and many other nu metal bands come closer), because the media can use them as a diversion from things that actually are corporate because the media is funded by commercials themselves, and Linkin Park is a believable target. Research the facts and you'll see theat LP no worse than what Pearl Jam used to be. Another insight into what I've learnt about how NT's think.

Anyone who cares whether something's popular or not and can't make up their own mind what music they like is an idiot.

Repent! Re-pe-ent!
Give me white Ground to run,
And foregone, Let me knife.
Knife me let! I will get
What I like.

pop music and indie rock are very different, first of all, and second, who are you to denounce another person's musical tastes?
