I don't like gundam. If i could find a head chomping animation where Filia eats xellos' head i'd have a spontaneous orgasm. But i enjoy the head chomping animation because of the relationship between kira and fllay, and their position in the anime and sh** like that.

I pride myself on being weird. I love weird things, and so i picked the weirdest and most cute avatar to try and define myself with. If it would fly I would make a perfectly white mask, with a ^_^ on the front and wear it all the time, because i feel that is my face more than the human face i do have. My avatar describes me.

I'd LOVE the idea of filia eating xellos' head. Imagine it.

Filia: "Oh xellos-sama? Did you know... i always found that staff of yours kind of sexy?" *leans in for a kiss*
Xellos: "Ehhh.... What are you saying filia-chan?"

HRRRRRRAAAAAA-Chomp
Xellos(muffled): "Oh Filia! I didn't know you cared!"

*makes squealing eeee noise*

But i only found this one. And i do like it to some degree, because in the clip it looks like a ravenous predator preying on a poor victim. Which is kind of what fllay did in the anime, because she was such a stupid b****, who everyone hated, and everyone except kira is probably glad is dead. But she f*** kira, because she is a weak slut, and kira just accepted it like an horny idiot. So i think the avatar is a cute reflection of the relationship that they shared in the show.

Also the show over-all is probably my most hated anime besides sailor moon(american version). A space combat vehicle with legs and arms? *tears face off* http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php?d=20050916 I have trouble seeing how much dumber a story could get. I really do. But my friend has the maturity of a 3 year old and if it is flashy and rediculously over dramatic, and stupid like that he will have an orgasm over it, and can't imagine that anyone else might like something different. So he made me watch it. I survived by talking to him about it and saying things like, "Ohhhh... so kira and athrun are in love! How cute!"

I sometimes enjoy Nomaken's avatar, depends on what state of mind I'm in. It's just that sometimes I can view it and it catches me off guard. But when it grosses me out I CAN'T stop looking at it! It's just ironically enjoyable.

All the avatars are one of a kind... Except for those who copied someone elses.

Seeing as I only just joined, I haven't yet come across many Avatars that bother me. But, I have to keep my browser frame shrunk down so I can't see the menu bar on the left - I don't know what it is about it - possibly the random assortment of colours and the blocky, pixelated appearence of the images. Either way, it really bugs me, and I seem to get blurry eyed if I look at it for more than a second or two. Damn.

You won't be seeing that much longer. We're almost finished with the new design that doesn't have a menu sidebar.

We don't allow animation (or images, at all really) in signatures because of the fact that people abuse signatures by taking up half of the page with some sort of weird flashing thing.

Ever since I read this, I've suddenly noticed lots of images (none with animation, it's true, but big and distracting nonetheless) in people's signature areas. :(

Not sure if it has already been mentioned (did not feel like reading the whole thread)

But it is very easy to switch of (or set to once) animated images in Firefox:

Quote:
Using about:config

In Mozilla Suite and Firefox:

1. In the Location Bar type "about:config" and hit Enter
2. Type "anim" in the Filter field (to quickly find the needed preference)
3. Double-click the image.animation_mode line and edit it to one of the following:

none — will prevent image animation
once — will let the image animate once
normal — will allow it to play over and over

No one’s avatar has given me sensory overload as of yet.

Interesting thread, wasn't previously aware of it, not surprising as it's almost two decades old! Anyway, my original avatar, seen below, seemed to freak out a former WP moderator, apparently for the reason indicated in the title of the thread:

Image

NB - probably needs to be viewed against the default white background, not nearly so striking in a 'dark mode' setting.

I use the element-blocking feature in the Firefox plugin "uBlock Origin" whenever an avatar gets on my nerves. I wouldn't have called them overwhelming, just distracting. I've also got Firefox set to not display .gif files because they're quite common on the Web and I'd rather not see most of them.
