For the record, as far as I'm concerned, songs - like movies - are a performance, so "bad" lyrics shouldn't really be taken too seriously anyway, it's just entertainment.

I am Necrobumping this thread because the late Helen Reddy who died yesterday said this song was one of the things inspired her to write 'I Am Women'

If you hate those songs, you'll get really steamed by the Rolling Stones' "Under My Thumb".

Personally, I find the rap songs of today to be a whole lot more offensive than the songs from way back in the day.
