I played chess when I was a boy, but kept losing, therefore no I don't play chess now that I'm an adult.

Two questions in one: What are some languages you would like to learn and what are
some endangered languages that have created a sense of intrigue in you?

Languages I'd like to learn? All of them.

More practically, though, I know a fair amount of Spanish (although I'm pretty rusty) and I'd like to learn German, at least as a mental exercise. Maybe something else as well depending on where I end up living eventually. I also think it would be cool to learn Chinese writing, but I don't expect that'll ever happen.

As for endangered languages, I'm not sure about that. I'm sure if I started learning about one, it would intrigue me, but I guess that just hasn't happened.

What's an unusual food combination that you like?

Either Mars or Europa, I can't decide between the two.

What's your favorite thing about winter?

Hmmmm how cozy it can be.

What question would you ask someone supposedly psychic to confirm that they are psychic?

"What number am I thinking of?"

For the record, it's 747,566,301. Did anyone get it right?

What do you think is the most interesting animal? Why?

The platypus, because it's so unusual.

I didn't guess your number.

What's the best mode of transport?

Platypus is a great choice. A venomous mammal that lays eggs and has no nipples, can detect electric fields and glows blue under UV.

A rocket ...because under that acceleration one only needs a few staples behind your ears for a free facelift.

What is your least favourite vegetable?

My least favourite vegetables are parsnips. Boring root vegetables which are a bit like carrots but somehow worse tasting. I will eat them, but they are my least favourite part of Christmas dinner.

Same q.

If you call a mushroom a vegetable, then mushrooms. Personally I feel like that's a stretch since they're not plants and biologically are more analogous to fruit. So I would say corn. I don't fully dislike corn, but most of the time I won't eat it. But my family does have a great Thanksgiving dish we call "corn thing".

What's your least favorite fruit?

I love ripe plums but since when you buy them at an American supermarket they are never ripe I find them too sour to be edible. So I'll go with plums.

Durian I suppose, for the smell...maybe cloudberries for the lack of taste, although quince isn't much better.

Same q.
