Although I've stated it before on other threads on this Forum, my current guitar rig consists of a Godin LG electric guitar, a Seymour Duncan 100 watt Convertable 1x12" Combo amp, a smaller PA amp that needs to be converted for guitar usage ( Bogen CHB-35) and an Art SGE Multifex unit.
At some point, I'd Like to acquire another Seymour Duncan amp of the same spec listed above and either 2 2x12 sealed back speaker cabs, or 2 4x12 sealed back speaker cabs for stereo operation. Also I would like to get a higher quality guitar like a Gibson LP/SG or LP Special, an old Ibanez Artist, or an old Yamaha SG/SBG 500.
Has Seymour Duncan made amps?
Yeah, The Convertable 100, was all tube, 100 Watts output, with two channels of modular preamps. It came in 1x12" combo, and head/4x12" cab configurations.
They also made a convertable 60 in 1x12" combo , and a rackmount head configuration.
The Convertable 60 also had active Boost/Cut tone controls whilst the Convertable 100 had a tonestack more in line with blackface and silverface Fender amps.
They also made a series of Class A Combo amps in the early 90's.
There were also Solid State Bass amps made during the 80's and early 90's, I'm not particularly familiar wth them, though I think that they could output 400 Watts into a 2 ohm load.
You can find more info on their Convertable series guitar amps, and preamp modules here:
