I just don't like seeing rape or torture in movies, and in this case it was so extreme that I found it difficult to like the movie all that much. Plus, I just didn't find any of it as funny as some people did...I much prefer "Evil Dead II" and "Shaun of the Dead." Had I found "Re-Animator" as funny as people said it was, then I might have been able to look past that scene.

If it helps at all I love the game in your avatar, "Dreamfall." I DO hope the third "Longest Journey" game actually answers all those questions, though...

But see you're missing the point still, that scene wasn't meant to be funny, just controversial, it was meant to push bounderies not be a found memory. Those are great movies but I don't think Re-Animator can be said to be in the same league as them, Re-Animator wasn't just a Horror-Comedy, it mish mashed a lot of things together which is it's strong point.

Yeah that was an incredibly good game, though I've only played the second one. I've even downloaded the Soundtrack because the songs are so good.

Anything from:

Steve Carell
Will Farrel
Tim Allen (I was forced to watch Zoom, and Tim was the biggest of all the babies forced into this craphole)
Pixar (taken as the Gospel)
Al Gore (torture porn, esp. if he imagines his audience in underwear and shows that image to reveal what will happen in 5 years when it is too hot if we don't hand over money to him, I mean the "regulation effort".)
Mike Myers
The Rock

Also:
When a stranger calls (laughing through the whole movie)

Anything with Brad Pitt, except some of his early work.

Chariots of Fire-I liked it at one time, until I found out how many mistakes it contained. It was one of the most historically inaccurate movies ever made about the Olympic Games. The Olympics are one of my obsessions, so the movie drives me crazy now.

All the Star Wars and Harry Potter movies. There's nothing wrong with them, but IMHO they're nothing to obsess about like it seems most of the population around here does.

Any slasher movie franchise like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, or Scream.

This. I don't get the appeal of slasher movies.

Me neither, and I otherwise like horror. I don't mind A Nightmare on Elm Street, though. But overall, I find just plain slasher movies boring. I like the Saw movies because they give you something to think about during the movie, it's not just same old, same old (except for multiple viewings, I suppose).

I think slasher movies are nothing but gore and tits with bad acting, bad writing, and endless incoherent sequels. Plus they always follow the same stupid rule the virgin chick is always the survivor but then later dies in a sequel. I just don' get how these movies end up being so popular. They're garbage and there's better horror movies out there that are true classics like The Shining and Nosferatu.

Are there any slasher movies that subverted the formula, where the most sexually liberated character makes it till the end, and all the virgins or inexperienced girls die?
