That's my feeling too, online friendships are superficial and 2 dimensional.

As with everything though, it just depends on what YOU make of it. For example, on another forum I got chatting to someone based on a shared interest. After a while we decided to try chatting via Discord. We've now done this several times and have enjoyed it. I certainly classify them as a friend now, they are supportive and I have asked their advice (and vice versa) on a few occasions.

The news and your hobbies? Finding a shared interest seems key for me when I have made friends. Most of the time it is because we share the same sense of humour.

^ throw yourself into the mix and I'm sure you'll make friends on here.

On an unrelated matter, I see you are based in Sutton Coldfield. I'm pretty sure I remember that coming up in the news a few years ago as the swinging capital of the UK, based on Google searches in various localities. Seems a 'friendly neighbourhood' on that basis :)

Hi Jas nice to meet you.

Have you tried greeting folk on the teenagers forum? but if you want hairy old men as friends I am quite sure there are plenty of us who are happy to socialise and give you tips.
