Could there be another mod who is on at night (US time) to delete the rampage of posts from Temu?
What would be nice is for any account reported by some set number of users to be temporarily blocked and all posts hidden until a mod can take a look at the posts.
Good idea - unfortunately this would require active development but that isn't happening with WP.
Left to its own devices the forum software would normally queue new members for approval, before they could post, but that option has been, uh, "modified away".

Otherwise, spam posts are easily (and best) ignored - they're irritating, but harmless noise.

So, on to the latest tidy-up...

Saw that. Got to be a bot. No way a human would sit there and post that mindless drivel over and over. Of course it will get deleted and the user banned. Bots are the worst.

Thank you for describing the process Gentleman A .. 8O

I used to inspect my site logs long ago. People here are only aware of human activity. The reality is above 90% of activity on a site is bots from all over the world. Yes, including remote countries you would not normally think of.

They do a lot of stuff.

Most are search engines scanning for changes, links, and data, vacuuming it all up. The site owner wants to let Google in but other search engines like Yandex and more obscure ones, maybe not.

Some are firms vacuuming up data for repackaging, sale, intelligence reports, looking for mentions of a CEO, politician, celebrity, for the purpose of "reputation management..." or training AI models or assisting law enforcement or drug cartels in tracking down aliases they are hunting for.

Some are probing for vulnerabilities to exploit the site or use it as a storage dump for illegal purposes.

Some just want to post spam.

Some are academic in nature probing the internet for other reasons.

I used to ban em all except Google, Yahoo, and Bing, ha ha. But that was a tough fight, they pop up with a new IP every other day. I think it was a symptom of Asperger's that led me into the hobby of bot-banning. :D

Is it okay to spew hate and falsehoods as long as it's someone's political point of view? I don't think it should be okay to pollute a support forum with malicious garbage.

Those posts should be reported.

Otherwise, please take this discussion to a new thread.

I did report it, and only the most egregious one, though there are others.

Spam flooding in multiple sections. General Autism is one.

Have found repeated threads I have posted too..are not notifying me of new posts in many different threads .
And even in a few threads my posts are not appearing afterwards . So would like to know , why , As this process,
Working this way ? Might be discouraging to post to threads at all , or smells of Bias ? ? ? So if I could get some understanding of this situation...It would be appreciated . This situation seems to have occured in the last 24-48 hours

In the last approximately 24 hours you made about 9 posts (not including that ^ one); only 4 threads have had responses posted after yours as of "now", with the 2 most recent being about half an hour ago.

This can be easily checked by you, looking at your post history, where you'll see the posts you made and if any responses were made after them.

But emailed thread update alerts seem to be functioning Ok.
See if you get an update alert for your post to this thread?

Yes going through my post history only corresponded to the posts ,I made .So I went to look at recent posts.
And it appeared that the new posts to the threads I participated in ,do not seem to trigger a notication to the email box , that I use . But I could possibly be overlooking something ? 8O

If you check your post history only and revisit any posts you see listed there, you can easily check to see if responses were made after them. This is likely to be more precise than looking at a (global) recent posts list.

Edit: I note you commented on receiving a notification 10 minutes ago, here - viewtopic.php?f=24&t=179192&p=9596379#p9596379 - so it seems everything is Ok?
