Have you ever been alone with a girl (or boy) and you were all cuddly and kissy, and something just feels surreal about the whole situation and like it feels like it's not happening or something :P I dunno if it's just because it's something different and rarely happens or something else, anyone feel the same?

Yeah Nearly everytime. I'll just pause and lock up for a moment sometimes thinking about it. Kind of a "what the hell this is happening?" reaction.

The one time I was ever close to a girl (it never turned into a relationship, so she was never an actual girlfriend, although it could have easily become such if circumstance hadn't forced us apart), one thing that we ended up doing was those really long-lasting hugs... and let me tell you, the cliche of time slowing down actually happened...

I love those long-lasting hugs, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Glad I'm not the only one :P
Any ideas what could cause it? Is there scientific reason like chemicals reacting from the kissing and the physical connection, or is it a routine thing because having a girl over isn't really part of your weekly routine, it just happens.

YES!! ! It's almost like an out of body experience... like "wow am I really kissing him".... and then the next day it's like was it real or did I dream it. Been there.

Yeah it's like a weird realistic dream, your body tells you its real but your brain doesn't seem to want to believe it :P

I've experienced derealisation when being kissed. It was unpleasant and made me feel numb.

Whenever I'm cuddling and kissing a girl, it really isn't happening, because it's just a dream.

Never been kissed here but damn...those long hugs are really, really nice.

Soft and warm, being embraced so firmly...so very nice.

I've had that feeling for most of my current relationship, especially once I got engaged.

On the really long hugs part, I have to say that it's like the best feeling ever and makes me feel so "right" and I would do anything to be able to do that again but I don't know if I will ever be able to.

Hahaha... gets your hopes up for nothing. Like the prospect of peace in the middle of a war that never ends.
