And I'm proud of it! I play SM64 over and over and I would love to go back and play the original SMB again. I just miss the old days.....

I remember calling my mom into the room to joyfully declare that I had rescued the princess in SMB1. That was a big thing for me at the time.

Whee, I have original copies of SMB 1, 2, and 3; Mario World, Mario Kart, Sunshine, Mario Land (well, it's my brother's...), Dr. Mario, All Stars, and Mario Kart DS. And my NES still works perfectly as well (can't say the same about my Super, I have no working power cord for it, system works fine though ;_;).

Mario was the first game I ever played, and it remains as my most favorite game of all time.

I grew up on Mario too :) I've been a Nintendo kid since day one. Well, almost. I never did own a NES, although I wanted one ;_; But I have SNES, N64, GameCube, GB, GBA, GBA SP, and DS. I always loved the Mario games, and I still adore them. Mario is the best! :)

The only Mario games I ever had were Super Mario World 1 and 2 on the Gameboy ^^; (And Super Mario Advance 1)

I was always more of a fan of the Sonic games personally, even if I only fell in love with those a year or 2 back

Yep, I pretty much know Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3, World and The Lost Levels inside out.

Gotta love Mario! He's an icon. Nintendo may not be doing so well these days, but Mario will probably always remain the most recognisable videogame character of all time. Hard to believe he's, what, 20 years old now! (I think his 20th anniversary just rolled around recently... I remember promotional stuff). That means he's been around almost since I was born 8O

If you in the past had the games and they worked, I think you have a license to play them, even on an emulator.
How does it sound?

Just a quick heads up to all Mario fans out there; there's a new Super Mario Bros. game ( titled, appropriately, " New Super Mario Bros. " ) coming out for Nintendo DS. It's a 2D Side-scroller with 3D graphics, the first true Mario game since Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo. And it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

Mark your calendars; Mario returns in May 2006! Believe It! :)

Finally, am I the only thats pissed that the only Mario games coming out are some spinoff/sports/Party game? Not that I have anything against Mario Kart, but Nintendo, it was about damn time you made another true Mario game.

A new Mario sidescroller would be awesome. Hey, sidescrollers aren't dead, Capcom still makes Mega Man X games.

Can't wait for New Super Mario! Still play all the old ones although I tend to play Mario 64 the most.

Yup, heard about it. I want to get it eventually but I have too many games to play and it's getting overwhelming.
