I have dark circles under my eyes too, but then again, I'm Arabic, and lots of us do too. And I have high cheekbones, and big eyes. Nothing else really unique in my physical description. Lol

I've read in a Dutch newspaper a scientific article on ohysical signs of autism. Here's a list:

1. The ring finger is just as long, or longer than the forefinger.
2. Big head
3. The eyes stand further away from eachother than average
4. Heart problems
5. Intestinal problems/digestive problems/ obstipation
5. Above average distance between the toes.

Extra sign: Many people with an ASD have had a hard delivery, which is caused by a lack of physical ''communication'' and collaboration with the mother.

I have dark circles under my eyes and am thin to. I was very pale until I got burned in Disney recently (only way my face or anything tans is if I wear no sunscreen outside in a bikini for a full day). My mothers usually say I look like a ghost (or pretty :eew:). But I do not think their are specific physical characteristics to autistic people. Though, some of us may be overweight due to medications (I was four yrs. ago, now I'm a lot thinner/people always say I'm skinny for some reason).

i read somewhere it is a myth you only gain tann from wearing no sun block or getting burned, getting burned causes you to loose skin so you would have to start over again on creating your tann.

i too have dark patches around my eyes its probably from not enough exposure to the sun.

:lmao:

Were you serious about the other characteristics? I'm just curious, because I never in my wildest dreams thought my widely spaced toes had anything to do with AS :?

I have everything on the list..I am not sure whether or not I have a larger than average head. My very good ASish friend has a smaller than average head..I was born almost a month late and pulled out with forceps...but I don't think it was a difficult delivery...

I thought my toes were widely spaced because I walk on my tip-toes so much.

I'm very pale and my eyes are very deep in so they're almost always in shadow giving a far away appearance of a skull. My friends describe me as lanky

That's really weird... in general the ring finger being longer than the forefinger is considered to be the "female hand type," isn't it? But autism is more common in boys.

Mine is, btw.. but I'm a girl anyways :-P

I'm tall, skinny, and pale but I'm a red head and all of us are pale. My ring finger is longer. I don't know if I have a big head or not. My toes are also very long and widely spaced.

I am pale, tall, skinny and I have dark circles under my eyes. But I think the paleness is because I don't go outside very much, and the dark circles because I have sleeping problems.

I have a relatively large head and I am also thin.

I have dark circles under my eyes, but I think that runs in the family. My skin is dark because my father is "black".

My ring finger is noticeably longer than my index finger.

I think my eyes are about normal width from each other.

I have a very healthy heart and have had no problems in my life.

I'm quite sure I do not have any more digestive problems than most normal people have...

My toes are also normal.

Interesting. Which and when? (Me = Dutchie)

Yes, but only 1mm at best (significant though I guess).

Crocodile wrote:
2. Big head

Very visible in early youth pics, curiosity for other people in early teens ('Hydrocephalus').
Seems to get more normal sized now at 22, but that's also expected, not?

Crocodile wrote:

Not sure, but lately I realized some peoples eyes were placed quite differently and closely.

My OCD-ish grandma died of it.

Crocodile wrote:

Yeps, the polysaccharide/starch could very well be it.

Crocodile wrote:

6-7 mm between biggie and 'index' toe. Rest nothing.

My whole process took 44 hours in total and was done with a C-section.
