This may be a weird question but then again nothing is weird for us. I have over 50 boxsets and I'm wondering what is the best way to watch them. I can watch a season at a time e.g. house season 3, 24 season 5, lost season 4 etc. I can watch a disc at a time which has four episodes sometimes 3 on one disc and listen to the episode commentaries or I could watch a episode at a time but I wouldn't really want to watch the episodes that I don't like. What should I go for? Watching a season takes too long and I have to change the discs constantly to watch 1 episode. Think about it.
Recently, I obtained the boxsets of series 1 through to 3 of
Blake's 7. As I had not watched them before, I watched them in chronological order (with the exception of the second episode,
Space Fall, which I watched after the third episode,
Cygnus Alpha).
Some Doctor Who boxsets from the classic series aren't 'consecutive', that is, they're not of stories from a particular season. Quite a few (like
The Beginning, The Rescue/The Romans, the upcoming
Dalek Wars,
The Key to Time, The E-Space Trilogy, New Beginnings, the
Tegan Boxset, the
Black Guardian Trilogy and
Trial of a Timelord) are based on either an entire season or else on consecutive stories. However, many others (
Lost in Time, Beneath the Surface, Bred for War, the
Davros Boxset, K9 Adventures) are based on non-consecutive stories linked by a common theme.
In any case, how one views them is entirely up to the viewer. I suggest changing discs for each episode you like, when necessary.
