Oh I agree. Generation 1 for me since that's how I got started with the franchise.

The first one, of course. The only real Pokémon. There are 151 Pokémon, all the others are illegitimate.

The first generation is my favorite. It has the best Pokemon. I don't like the newer Pokemon because they're too shiny.

I voted for the latest generation. Before Diamond and Pearl came out i was kind of thinking the same way as some of you, that nothing could beat the original games and original 151. Buuuuuuut, i enjoyed Diamond and Platinum a lot.. This generation just has so many things you can do. I don't imagine i'll ever replay these as many times as i did with R/B/Y or even G/S/C... But none of those ever gave me enough stuff to do and pokemon to catch that i got over 300 hours of gameplay in one game.

The Red & yellow got me addicted, but gold had new maps & all that AND the 1st generation game, Not to mention the best chiptunes in the series.

Generation 2 was my favirout, just some of my favirout, as their felt like there was so much in it, like the radio, ruins, tower, both Lugia and Ho-oh and you could also go over to the first game area, and see how things had changed.

Generation 1 hands down for me. I first got hooked on Pokemon after getting Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow , followed by the rest of the games. I still like the newer Pokemon as well. Satoshi Tajiri is a fellow Aspie so Pokemon is going to stay around for a long time. I used to be a Pokemon League Gym leader, when I worked at Toys"r"us.

First Gen. I do like the new games a lot too, I just wish they wouldn't recycle the storyline so much. -_-

I'd have to say Gold/Silver (mostly because those were the last games I actually owned), but the third and fourth are awesome too.

I have fonder memories of Gold and silver especially since it had 16 gyms.

Generation I. The first generation of Pokemon was my childhood. Without it, I'm sure my childhood would have sucked much more, but with it, my childhood was pretty freaking amazing. :] Gold, Silver, and Crystal were quite good too, but the original 151 Pokemon are still the only true Pokemon in my mind. Generation III can bite me, never played generation IV.

I like Generation III. The first generation is good (and I love yellow the most), but not my favourite, and I think Generation II might have been my favourite if my games hadn't been stolen after I had them for a month or so :( I love Ruby and Sapphire though (I have both), and I've played it over 5 times on each game. I'm getting a touch tired of the plot though, lol :P
Pearl was okay, but it just didn't do it for me. Not enough new pokemon. I'm not even going to try Platinum because I've heard there's not many new pokemon on it either.
