If it was about a person with Down syndrome or more low functioning autism auditioning, I would understand the hype. These people might not know what they are in for, however as a person with AS myself (and I am a singer too), I know exactly what the x-factor is and how everything works behind the scenes. It will be tough for him but as Louis said, it is his choice. People with AS have got the mental capacity (I hate that term...) to make their own decisions. My personal decision is:
I am not confident enough to go on X-factor even though everyone I know says I am good enough, I would struggle with the sensory side of it and wouldn't be able to do the live shows because I have Tourettes and would cuss all the way through!
