1. By accident. I had been out of college a year, then lost a job as a nurse aide. In frustration I looked up benefits for adults with autism and got referred to a supported employment center, who recommended me to Vocational Rehab. VR offers either job placement help or tuition assistant.
It angers me that I NEVER heard anything about autism benefits through Voc Rehab until I had been in college 3 years (with NO autism help) and had $30,000 in loan debt when all of these resources were available all along.
2. Yes, but I don't think either program is limited to in state students
3. I already have 90 credit hours from another in state school but my GPA was below 2.0 my last semester. I have been out of college 2 years and will try to get "conditional enrollment." After speaking for 30 minutes with their admissions and visibilities directors it looks 99% that I will get in.
