I honor my body by giving in and getting the extra rest when I feel like it. Also like pp said, plenty of absorbable iron, I use yellow dock root teas and tinctures as I don't absorb pills and otc stuff. Even with adequate iron and vitamins, I am still tired and need extra rest for the work my body is doing a few days. Also, I found what foods work with my body in this time and what makes it work harder. Even foods have hormonal properties and results in the body. Amazing to me. So yeah, yawn~ I get my pillows, my hot water bottle, my lavender sniffy sock for all my sensory goodies to nestle in and nurture myself through part of the beauty that is being a woman of reproductive age. I have come to enjoy knowing that unless the world is coming to an end, on my heaviest day, I am going to do very little and give in to the deep sleep that comes naturally when other times I am a light sleeper. I am going to give into watching bad tv and being "lazy" flipping through magazines or recipes I know I won't be cooking that day, lol. I don't think it is a signal anything is wrong if you have proper nutrition and iron... just part and parcel of the woman thing. .
