Sorry if this topic has already been done before... I am currently feeling a it pissy about having to wear a bra today and wanted to vent for a moment.

Normally I shun bras. I avoid them like the plague. It is not really a problem for me because I am not a D cup or anything, and due to my aversion to seams on my arms, I own a lot of tank top things... most of which come with that part up top that kind of works as a pitiful way to keep your boobs in place. So I figure, why bother with bras. I find them uncomfortable and irritating.

I enrolled in a physical fitness class this semester. We have to do things like jumping jacks, weird exercises that have you bent down and leaning forward and while my tank tops and t-shirts are find and dandy for my at home workouts, they are not so fine and dandy for class.

So here I sit... I have class in half an hour and I am so resentful of my bra at the moment that I do not want to go to class. I hate the under wire. I hate the straps. I hate the way it is strangling my torso. I know it is stupid and funny but I really just want to go there today and tell everyone to piss off, I am not suffering anymore so you all do not need to be weirded out by my boobs. It is not my problem.

I say that here, but I will just wear the bra and behave. I know it is the polite thing to do. Besides, it is only two days a week for a few hours each time. I will survive... and rid of the cursed thing as soon as I get out of class and in my car. Heh.

Am I the only one who wishes death to bras? Somebody tell me it is not just me...

No, it's not only you :)

And I can tell you more: all of the guys who want to wear one to disguise for a day are really glad to get rid of them as soon as they can, as soon as they're able to get their men's clothes back!

.. But in our societies they never think of that for women, that it can also be a discomfort for us :|

I don't mind them as long as they are not too big or too small.

So you're not going to burn them as women did in the 20's and then again in the 60's, last century :)

I hate bras!! !! ! :x

I can't avoid them though because I've always had big boobs. Used to be a DD now a C but they are still big and I simply have to wear a bra when I go out. When I'm at home though forget about it, I'm not wearing one unless I absolutely have to. Exercising is annoying no matter what because nothing can keep these beasts in check when doing jumping jacks and the like :?

You've never heard of strapless bras?

Get a sports bra for this class they work like the tanktops with the built in bras. I found some that are seemless and wear those at home and they keep the DDs from poping me in the eye when I do my house work.

I actually don't like not wearing a bra because my boobs are too big to get away with it and it looks awful.

I don't hate them as I don't find them uncomfrtable.

I tolerate them at work and places I go to. But I don't bother with them at home. I live alone, there is almost never anyone at the door or anything and I'm small enough that it doesn't matter. I also have a bunch of pets that ruin my clothes when I play with them so at home I hang around in pajamas that I don't care if they get ruined.

There are such things as non-wired bras you know. And as a previous poster said, sports bras, which to my knowledge don't usually come with wires either.

I am glad to hear it is not just a me thing. I have tried strapless ones, ones with no under wire... hated them as well. I have not tried one of the seamless sports bra... I will have to look into that. If that does not work, I might just burn them.

I am about a size C or D and always wear one of those tank top sports things, no wires or anything. Even when pregnant and breastfeeding. It makes me feel like it's just a short tank top, and is super comfortable. It minimises my boobs too, which is a plus. I don't care if they don't hold them perfectly immobile, but at least they don't flop around painfully.
