That story was crazy. Obviously it had no wine in it whatsoever, you could tell that just by looking at the sweet's wrapper.

It's really silly, even if there was alcohol in it, it would be such a tiny amount!

I've never even heard of wine gums or candy with alcohol in them before. Interesting story :lol:

So it's just Wine-Flavored gum with no real wine or alcohol? Just like banana-flavored popsicles don't have real banana in them? Or American cheese isn't real cheese? :nerdy:

Just over wine gum you know :lol: it doesn't make any sense.... Winegums do not contain alcohol. Its unfortunelately happens alot in britain.

I love wine gums, not so much actual wine though. I'd hate it if it happened to me, I would be so confused if I were the guy trying to buy them.

I live in the town where that happened (someone was telling me about it online and I looked across to the local paper...front page story.)

Alcohol itself has no taste. So in that respect, it could be water...

As a kid I thought they contained wine because of the name. I slowly realised they didn't. Especially when my parents (no idea which) told me they don't contain any
