imagine the insides of houses

ever drive by houses and try to imaging what the insides look like - how it's laid out, how it's decorated?

A couple years back while driving out in suburban Maine, I was doing that and it was pretty cool. The images coming into my head were pretty diverse so I suspect that the exercise was a success. You know, if I was trying to work out my brain which I really wasn't. I was just trying to imagine was it was like to live in these big 3,000+ square foot houses.

Yeah, I've tried imagining the inside of houses before.. except it's kind of hard to do like it's hard for me to imagine all the rooms instead I just see one open area.

Altohugh it isn't exactly the same as what you're saying, I sometimes I'll go for imaginary walks inside buildings I've been in before, sort of like a test of how much I remember of being in a building. Places like libraries and stuff.

Yup, I do this whenever my mind isn't preoccupied.

I also do it with furniture and objects once I'm in someones house, by drawing and rendering the parts of things I can't see in my head, and from there I rotate and position them where they should be based on how, where and when I move. But like before, I only do that when there's not something else I should be paying attention to. Otherwise, if I try to multitask between that and say... talking, I'd end up bumping into stuff and accidentally break something.

The best time to explore is when its dark in the evenings. Then you can actually see clear whats inside peoples houses. I could find it amusing to do if "coming across" but I would never waste my time with it only for this purpose.
Thats the reason why I always cover my windows as soon as it gets dark because I dont like the idea others is able to see whats inside my home...
