I am a huge fan of Manga! However, I'm having trouble finding ones I like now... Suggestions? (Not into gender benders, romance [as a main plot], ecchis, harems, medical, shojo, romance, slice of life, or horrors)

Uh, I am into Naruto, D. Gray Man (stopped reading after they killed my favorite character >.<), Death Note, Inuyasha (forgot where I was and they kept just finding out that they were missing more crystal pieces, so I stopped), Keikkashi, Immortal Regis, Cavalier of the Abyss, Yu Yu Hakusho, Alive: The Final Generation, Pokemon (not the anime, but the manga), Code Geass (The anime, r1 and r2), Shaman King (forgot where I was >.<), and what else....???

Do you like comedy animes? If so, you may enjoy Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. It pokes fun at just about everything, so you might find it very humorous. However, if you don't like "fan service," watch out, because there's a lot of it in this anime.

Try Air Master (you can watch it for free on Funimation's video portal), Rurouni Kenshin, and Gurren Lagann.

English or Japanese? Would you prefer links to subs or dubs? Scanlations?

Hetalia! [historically accurate FTW]
azumanga daioh [classic]
Yotsuba [manga only]
Darker than Black [confusing at first, but its worth it]
the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya [VERY popular, pretty good]
Ouran High School Host Club [flamboyantly gay..but i liked it xD]
Serial Experiments Lain [if you're into abstract anime...kind of reminded me of we are the strange by m dot strange]

yay Death Note.

I just started part out of boredom and part having to learn japanese for work with anime. I watched Cowboy Bepop, then Dark than black, and bits of Ghost in a shell. I had a lot of trouble getting into EVA, Avatar, and most of the stuff I hear about regularly. I really don't like light or too far out story lines I guess, so it's been difficult finding series I don't drop quickly.

I know you said you weren't into Slice of Life and that sort of Anime/Manga, but I think that any true A/M fan should read and/or watch Nana.
I'd say personally, though it's a different genre, it's on par with Deathnote. I swear, pretty much no one who watches/read it will be dissappointed.

But that's just my opinion :)

I don't like comic books so I've never read any manga. But "Monster" is the best anime I've ever watched. Try it!
