This is my question. How far did you go with your education, explain how you accomplished your education goals and explain if there were any roadbumps. Also, are you in the middle of working on obtaining a degree as well?

I have my A-levels (highest school qualifications in England) and am in my first year at university. Think I'm doing a bachelor's but I don't really know.

Perhaps there should have been a selection for multiple Bachelor's degrees. I have two in totally different fields, one fairly close to completion but abandoned, plus several certificates. A fairly accurate way of tracking special interests over the decades. It would seem I'm much happier in the structure of school than the chaos of RL.

My education was fairly easy because I loved learning. My problems was with the hostility I faced up through high school.

Biggest problems in school was feeling overwhelmed, but not knowing about AS, I tried just doing time management techniques, and that was the biggest help. 5-6 term papers a semester were more manageable when I broke my tasks down into phases and the professors gave deadlines for each part. Professors commonly did not use the same dates, so I did things in the order of deadline...moving on to the next item when I finished a task. Having a plan made me feel more "in control" and helped me deal with the anxiety.

Law school wasn't all that hard. Again, it was about managing time.

However what I needed more than anything was social skills, which college and law school didn't give me. So, a lot of education, a lot of debt, and I can't get a good job.

I have a Bachelor of Music Education (K-12, Instrumental) - but didn't teach for long.

It's my 2-year certificate in mechanical drafting & design that has been most useful to me.

I have an M.S. in Sociology, and became ABD yesterday, so I'm only a few months away from my doctorate (crosses fingers).

Well, i started going to a Community College first to get the basic classes out of the way (was aiming to go into Electrical Engineering). Decided to go ahead and get the AA in General Arts, then headed on to a 4 year. Completed about 70+ hours towards the BS - Electrical Engineering degree, but hit a pit: got a D in Physics III (basic principles behind nuclear reactors/reactions), got depressed, and i didnt want to rely on a government loan/grant so dropped out. 3 Years later, I had heard that Biotechnology was the hot thing i the state, so i went and completed an Associate of Science - Biotechnology (finished in 1.5 years), but have since been on the lacking end of employment. May one day go and get at least a bachelor's in Math, but . . . dont know what good that will do me.

Well, I won't vote yet because I'm still in high school, but I do plan on going to college and getting a bachelor (I would do a masters, but there isn't really anything interesting in business that I've heard of - only the Master in Business Administration).

I am a high school graduate currently, and I am now on a gap year to weigh my options as I am only expected to enter college next year (still not confirmed).

3 PhDs, 1 JD, 0 MD. Well, not bad, I know Aspies can make it to liberal arts or engineering higher degrees. As for medicine, however, is there any reason why no Aspies can make it? I am interested in a health-related degree, so I am naturally curious.

I completed my BS in Nursing in 1997, just completed my master's in nursing in May, and now I'm teaching at a community college. I contemplate going back for a doctorate, maybe in public health, but right now teaching is so overwhelming I can't imagine also being in school at the same time.

As to why no future doctors, maybe it's because of the social skills needed? I couldn't do pre-med because I suck at chemistry, physics and calculus. That's why I went into nursing. But I wouldn't do it over again because the social stuff is way too difficult. I didn't know about AS when I chose it more than 15 years ago.

I'd choose epidemiology if I had it to do over again.

Well I'm just 15 so I've got two GCSEs so far.

I plan on going to college to do A levels in English, IT, Business, and Economics.

I don't plan on going to university though, to me qualifications are only something to fall back on if my business is doing badly anyway.

Trying to survive the high school. It's a school for "special" people, but my mind is too much disturbed and overwhelmed so i can't study properly. I am sure that i will drop out.
