Very sad... autistic here... I feel like I've been cursed, I have a great life in reality, average family, best mother in the world... can do what I want mostly... but I cannot drive/take control of my life on my own/never had a girlfriend so maybe that's why... I'm sad, not sure, but whenever I see cute/sad things on tv or something I begin crying my eyes out. sniff.

Wish i could say or do something. With the exception of driving (and a father im pretty sure is on the Spectrum with me, or something similar), im kinda trapped too. My interest is primarily in games (primarily card/board), but no one here wants to support my choice. I can drive, sure, but there is nothing i really want to do, especially with gas prices going up again. I was living on my own for a few years, but it was extremely lonely living with only work and WoW from day to day (and a low paycheck due to the lame job). I also dont like calling about jobs because i dont know what to say to not come off as a sociaphobe (if thats a real word). The only thing in my mind right now is that i have to maintain my patience and sanity until things stabilize . . . how/when that will come about, i cannot tell you. At least im not the only one having a hard time in the current economy, but it doesnt make the fact any easier (especially with a father who b*****s about it every time he sees me :( ). The one thing i promised myself is this: I am NOT going to do something that will wear away at my sanity (which includes job hunting . . . i'll put in a few apps a day at most, but im not going to be overly serious or optimistic about something as shaky as that). Just do what you can to remain mentally stable . . . bout the only advise i can give you.

ooooh we have to play sometime! i love games! but yeah. luckily, applications can be submitted online nowadays.

it's somewhat ok, once you get the hang of it. calling for jobs, that is. it's also fairly essential to actually get the job. sooner or later, a telephone will get involved. job hunting is DEFINITELY awkward, though. it takes a while to find a good one.

but anyway: sample phone call:

"Hi, Company X, Soandso speaking!"
"Hi, soandso, this is J. I would like to know the status of my application. May I speak to a manager?"

i was told the best thing to do in the situation of weepiness is to keep on crying, until it's out of your system. sometimes it takes a while. it's no fun, i understand it.
