This is one of my NT hates!! !! I chose to not clap or cheer at my little sister's baseball games. IMO the parents look stupid!! ! Sure you're trying to support your child but IMO again I think it looks stupid. Also While I might like Harry Potter/Twilight etc. (going so far as to get an Edward gift card and Dumbledore's wand AKA the Elder wand the most powerful wand in existence in the Harry Potter universe) I DO NOT dress up as a character or go to clubs and hate the WOO! teen fans of Twilight IMO COME ON GET A LIFE! IMO I keep these interests kind of private and don't go flaunting them and in turn IMO look like an idiot. :-) Sorry to offend anyone I tend to have strong views sorry again.

Only when it hurts my ears. I find it tiring to do so I don't say a word.

I like dressing up as Po. My favorite Teletubby. I need to wear it again sometime. I also should wear my AB clothes again.

I failed to stand up for the national anthem at church one time. I was then scolded by a veteran, but he made me cry so my mom called him a son of a b***h and took him into another room and tore him a new a**hole... AT CHURCH... After they were done, the preacher gave a little speech about how, "if you don't like this country, you can leave"... Whoa, talk about a misunderstanding!

I wasn't trying to NOT be patriotic, I was just lethargic at the time and only cried at church. When they would sing I wouldn't stand either, I just cried. This is hilarious to me now, but it caused a lot of drama in my family because my dad didn't defend us. He just told the guy that I should have stood up... Lesson learned. I went to a hockey game last night and when they sang the national anthem, boy was I quick to stand up. It's ridiculous how much expectation there is when you are in a communal environment.

Yeah like the time when Obama was standing doing the National Anthem, he didn't have his hand on his chest. People panicked and thought he didn't like our country.

Just do it, it's not so hard. Those old gizas died for you, nag-dammit! (well not the ones standing there, obviously, lol)

When I was in high school we all had to go to an inter-school swimming event.

My friends and I went right up the back and started playing chess.
A teacher came up and said "You should be down the front cheering for your school"

I replied: "I only go to this school because I live in this school district. Why should I pretend that "my" school is somehow better than "their" school?
I don't know any of the people competing so I don't care who wins"

The teacher opened his mouth then closed it and walked away.

That teacher could hardly argue with your logic.

as for the whole standing for the anthem thing, I am australian. In Australia we do stand when the anthem is played (like before big sporting matches) but we don't put our hands on our hearts.

As for dressing up as characters i like doing it to go to conventions. (I dressed up as Nekosawa from Ouran Host Club at Manifest 2007)
But I don't go to far with it, I have heard of a Twilight fan that bit another fan at the premire screening of New Moon (really).

As for cheering, it doesn't really bug me, only when the cheering gets abusive. You know when it consists of yelling abuse at people (like the other team). I hate that. I especially hate it when those parents at the kids baseball games or any other junior sport behave like nethanderals by starting brawls and basically ruining it for the kids and everyone else too.

I hate it when a bunch of kids cheer at me, in a sarcastic way. I know they think that I'm not cool, so I just ignore them and I never fall for it. They're not worth my time and I'm too good for them.

Well I've been watching Colts games on occasion since we won the superbowl in 07. I mean, I dont mind watching them when there's nothing else to watch and I do try hope for my hometeam to win but I can never get into the cheering and getting excited aspect everytime they make a touchdown like my friends do.

Good thing I dont have real friends anymore. I would be a lousy companion to take to Colts games even though I do want then to win.

I don't know about any of that. I'll applaud at sports events or whatever but I won't hoot and holler. I don't mind if anyone else does though.

What I don't like is when, like on TRL or something, the girls requesting a song will invariably go, "I'm Megan from Ithaca and I wanna see such and such a song by the Backstreet Boys because such and such a member is sooo cute! WOOOOOOO"

I don't particularly like people cheering really loud as it does my head in but clapping is alright with me.

I cheer really loudly if someone else does so, too. I pretty much always look for an excuse to engage myself as much as possible. So when I sit there and watch, being bored, having a chance to do something active, I always use the opportunity.

I don't understand it. And I really hate it when it cuts into my ears!

"ARRRRGH!! ! Come on, people! What the (put obscene word here) is so (deity)-damned exciting about this (whatever)?!?"

Heh, I'm not gonna complain if teens are fans of twilight :| It in the least doesn't promote violence (unless you count fictional characters biting) unlike some of the other ridiculous garbage they have access to. I personally don't care for it, but, eh, whatever.

I don't like people loudly cheering near me. I don't cheer at all, i don't even like clapping. Also i don't laugh loudly.
