Hey, I'm Bethany and I'm new here and have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. I don't know much about Asperger's, so if any of you can tell me a little bit about it, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi Bethany, welcome, and enjoy your stay on the Wrong Planet!

If you're looking for information about Autism and Asperger's Syndrome, maybe this topic on the WP forum is interesting for you: General Autism Discussion - Books

Hey Bethany...

Welcome to Wrongplanet :D !

Feel free to post and make yourself feel comfortable. :) This place is a good place to know about aspergers/autism and also share experiences with each other and connect :).... I would go with what Scientist said on her link about General Autism Discussion books which might help you and you get to learn more about it.

Anyways, enjoy your stay at WP and happy posting :D

hi Bethany, welcome to WP :). thanks for the cookie :thumleft:

there is a lot of information available through the WP forums on Asperger's but it is also a good idea to do a little trawling through bookstores, local college/university libraries etc for personal accounts and clinical/reference descriptions.

i have recently read "the complete guide to asperger's syndrom" by Tony Attwood and can thoroughly recommend it, the writing style makes the information very accessible. Tony Attwood is one of the world's foremost authorities on Autism Spectrum Disorders.
