My name is John. I am 22 , I was diagnosed with AS as a child. Still can't seem to figure s**t out.

I am basically a social chameleon. I can be just about anything I choose. Not trying to be an ass when I say that I am honestly smarter than 99% of the people I know. I can go from social group to social group. Pretending to be something I am not. I have very few true friends, I feel like, while most people seem to have social skills naturally. I do not. I have a logical social checklist in my head, making it so that on the surface I seem like one of the coolest people ever. I have no problem getting people to like me at first, or to go on dates. I have no problems getting a job, or being charming when I have to. But what I seem to have issues with is that all of that isn't natural. I don't understand the things I do, I just recognize based on trial and error that it works. What I can't seem to do, is get people to like the real me

I understand exactly and identify precisely, John: Everyone is on-stage and the play is running but we were never given scripts ... and I could not figure even that out on my own.
