What race/class you think i should be?
Hello guys, its me again. I need call upon your brilliant minds of wisdom for help. You see i play WoW (World of Warcraft) and i have the tendency of not deciding what to be. i created over like 10 or something, and everytime i delete them when i changed my mind. I have trouble making decisions, and i want to be a race and class permenatly. So if you could, can you please give some recomendations for what i should be, i want to be on the horde, because my friend is on the horde, and i choose Wildhammer as my realm. All i need is to be a race and class, so i would appreciate it if you could give me some suggestions and i'll go with whichever one is recomended most. Sorry if i am putting up too many topics, if you want i'll get rid of a couple.
A little more information about your preffered playstyle would be helpfull.
Which race's aesthetics appeal to you more?
Do you plan to do more PvP, PvE or a bit of both?
Do you preffer to stay at the back in group play or be in the thick of the fight?
Do you want to melt faces or put them back together?
Is versatility an important factor? - Do you want several playstyles available to you on 1 character?
Knowing that would be usefull if you expect any help. But I'd ask in the official forums first, if I were you.
You didn't answer Lecks questions though....
I have an 80 BE pally http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... =Vandrisal
I used to have WAY too many alts that never went anywhere at all, but I started a pally and loved it. Great for PvP and PvE, can melt faces and repair them, and if your prot... you don't die 1v1. Period. At 80 in my old crap gear I was taking on 4-7 level 80 mobs without trying, and soloing level 81-82 Elites.
Yeah druid is a safe bet. As feral and with good tank gear you can tank quite effectively. Feral with rogue gear can do on par DPS.
Resto druid can heal like a champion, lifebloom is overpowered though I hear it has been nerfed.
Balance druid brings the pew pew and well I stopped playing at WotLK release but starfire was the best *stand alone* nuke in the game. If you like big numbers starfire crits deliver. Especially when you trinket + flask + shadow priest debuff + CoS + idol proc + weapon spell oil If you can't tell yet I used to play balance drood
Warriors with good gear and a healer following them around murder in PvP, problem is finding a healer to follow you around. Without one you are just kinda annoying.
Rogues are popular, they are easy to play but that means there is tons of them and you will have trouble finding groups and getting into a guild unless you are actually good (most aren't). Same with hunters.
Caster? Check
Healer? Check
Melee? Check
Tank? Check
Dynamic playstyle? Check
They're beginner friendly and easy to level aswell.
Except the Tauren starting zone is possibly the worst in the game. Plus druids don't even start to become fun till 20+. Even bear at 10 is a annoying to get and you can't do jack s**t for a long time.
Resto druids are the bane of my existence though.
Am I the only pally fan?
BTW, for "pew pew" it's Mage. Boomkin is burst, not pew pew.
A good lock will melt face
A rogue is just annoying
A DK can be good, but 98% of DK's suck balls
A mage will just put out so much dps it hurts, and as frost they just are impossible to CC
A Druid can out heal almost anything as resto, be annoying as boomkin, but are only so so as feral
A Shaman is something I just don't like. They do most things but tanking pretty good, but not great
A pro priest will rolfpawn a good 80% of players. So underestimated but they can be scary
Warriors get the nerf bat every single patch and pretty much suck at this point
And of course, my vote is on Pallys. Pretty much best tanks, can put out 3-5k dps pretty easy as ret, and make the best single target healers in the game.
This is all end game. I will say any class can beat any class, some just have a harder time. I can't touch a frost mage, but a rogue can stun lock me and use every CD he has and I will still be alive.
You're not alone, I was a fan of prot paladins for 3-4 years. Raided as a main tank too. Now, back to the topic, I say if you're going to choose something, dedicate as much as time as you can to playing that class as long as you are having fun and don't take things seriously.
(I quit 8 months ago , Raiding is super serious business)
All classes have their strengths and weaknesses.
Rogues=Currently highest scaling single target dps in the game, decent aoe capabilities. Extremely easy to level, extremely easy to pvp, very difficult to fully master to the point where you're going to 1v3 people. Heavy cooldown based class with stealth. Squishy, but contols targets to minimize lack of defense (what's the problem with being two shot if your target never hits you?)
Mages=2nd highest scaling single target dps in game with 4th strongest aoe. Very high burst if talented right. The ultimate bane of melee classes as frost in pvp, though they suffer in pve with the same spec. Can port to large cities, make their own food. Completely useless if silenced or out of mana.
Hunters=3rd highest scaling single target dps in game, decent aoe capabilities. Hunters are a pet class, and the only physical dps class that attacks from range. They can spec into a pet tree that makes their pet really strong and makes them immune to CC, very good for pvp, but it's lower dps scaling makes it poor for pve. Their other two trees are very very good for pve currently. Among the fastest leveling classes.
Warriors=Versatile tanks, and able to pvp in all three specs. Very good single target dps and somewhat decent aoe on low target numbers. Fairly simple class, but a skilled player can make them much more impressive than the base set of their abilities. Most difficult class to tank with, yet strangely most warrior tanks tend to be decent.
Death Knights=Tanks, strong single target dps and highest aoe dps in the game as Unholy. At least 50% of all DK players suck @$$ as every little kid rolled one because they were new. Those DK's who are good show the class has almost to much versatility and as such is extremely strong in pvp with many lockdowns and counters to both melee and casters. As tanks they are somewhat weak currently, with lower TPS and survivability. Among the fastest leveling classes.
Paladins=Currently the strongest tanks with the highest scaling hp, survivability and 2nd highest single target TPS. Extremely strong single and small group aoe dps as Ret, and strongest single target healers hands down. Also, the infamous invulnerability bubble.
Priests=Most versatile healing class, can do on-par single target healing as a pally, and equal aoe healing as a resto druid. 3rd strongest aoe dps as shadow, along with the highest single target dps scaling of the hybrid classes, and higher than one of the pure dps classes as well.
Shaman=High caster dps, high melee dps, best aoe healing in game as resto, though weak single target healing. Only class to bring the Bloodlust buff, essential for raiding. Totems are unique buffing system to the class, sometimes annoying as they don't move.
Druids=Most versatile class, only one capable of fulfilling all roles except ranged physical dps. They have the highest single target TPS of the tanks. The feral druid melee dps rotation is extremely high damage, but difficult to pull off. The moonkin dps is excellent, and easy. Resto healing is also easy, with a plethora of healing over time spells. Druids do excellent in pvp as they are essentially immune to roots and slows through shapeshifting. Can rez in combat.
Warlocks=Currently the lowest single target dps of the pure classes, but Blizzard is buffing them with the next patch, probably 2-3 weeks. 2nd highest aoe dps currently. Pet class, all three classes capable of doing pve, though the pet tree is lowest dps, but has the strongest raid buff in the game for any caster/healer. Fastest leveling class. (First lv 80 was a warlock) Can summon people, and have soulstones to rez in combat.

Love the way you described the classes I myself play a Death knight, Pally, Rogue and Shammy
Whoa Whoa Whoa...
Rogues AOE? The heck? I can't think of a single rogue aoe attack....
Hunters can have insanely high pve dps. I know a hunter that I have SEEN pull 6-8k dps only partially raid buffed.
Warriors I can't say much on, one class I never touch
DK's, as you say, are good, but almost nobody is good and they keep getting nerfed. The fact that they are a "Hero" class and many other classes can eat them says something
Paladins: All that plus LoH Almost unlimited mana if played right as well.
Priests: Priests can be nasty, but are are very squishy unless Discipline.
Druids: I hate them with a passion. Ganked so many times be damn Boomkins/Ferals I can't even say, and Tree is just unfair. Nerf them. NEEEEEEEEEEEEERF them.
Warlocks: Lowest single target dps? Does this include after a dot rotation and a chaos bolt? Once dots are on Lock DPS is nasty as heck.
Edit: Forgot Mage: A mage can be summed up in three words - Human Vending Machine
