I don't know if I am being really off the wall, but after reading the Big Bang Theory thread on Sheldon's aspie traits I wondered if anyone thinks that Robin Scherbatsky from How I Met Your Mother has autistic tendancies.

I say this because I watched an episode where Lilly was trying to get her to empathise with Ted when they were going out and Robin didn't understand. It just made me wonder. There are other aspects of her character as well, but I can't think of any at the moment.

I also think the Sunny in Neighbours seems a bit aspie. Just the way she reacts to things and doesn't understand social connections. Also she doesn't like high heels, which many aspie women find a problem.

Or is it because I've recently been looking into this that I'm reading too much into things. Does anyone else think they've seen any aspie characters on TV?

There's an official aspie character on the BBC show Waterloo Road, but I don't watch that.

I suspect the Goldmans from Family Guy might be Aspies.

Haven't seen that

Anyway, there's always Mr Bean, the penultimate depiction of Asperger's (before Asperger's was a widespread label at that).

Two somewhat autistic characters, meaning it was said they would have AS by the producers/directors but it never being announced on the show itself, are Zack and Temperance from Bones.

Independently from me knowing about what the producers said, my mom said Zack would likely have AS. So there's some evidence in his behaviour apparently.

I thought it was just Bean. No Mr, just Bean.

The movie was called Bean, the TV series was Mr. Bean.

Judging from the character's portrayal in the show, Temperance aka 'Bones', the forensic anthropologist, is definitely aspie. The characters in the show even talk about how she is; they don't use the words 'aspie' or 'AS' but they do use terms like 'lacks empathy' or 'has trouble understanding why people ...'

Apparently, the show is based on the life and character of a real forensic anthropologist (to be honest I keep meaning to read more closely at the end of the show and find out but have forgotten, so far).

Perhaps it's just me, but Lisa Simpson from "The Simpsons" seems to have aome aspie traits.
