Anybody has plans for taking over the world? I want a planet where NTs have to pretend to be autistic just to get a job. I'm thinking we could set our headquarters in Silicon Valley and maybe disconnect every server on the planet from the internet, until they agree with our demands... the poor bastards wouldn't know how to get a server running on themselves. We could demand that in order to get married at least one in the couple must be on the spectrum, that way we ensure the survival of our subspecies. I think by the year 2100 we could outnumber them...

Ideas anyone?

oy. I understand frustration, but there's alot of us NTs trying to bridge the gap of understanding.

Now a political revolution, I could get behind THAT!

I think it's better to start our own country (for now, call it Aspergia; we'll vote on a name later), much like the Jews founded Israel in 1948. After being persecuted everywhere they go for 2000 years, they finally have a true homeland. In fact, a few Jewish prayers had to be rewritten after Israel was founded, since they refered to hopes for a homeland.

We can do the same. After founding Aspergia, we can then attract aspies from around the world to move there. When the aspies start immigrating in droves to Aspergia, there'll be a major brain train in every country worldwide. In the end, we'll have all the world's smart people, while the countries that once persecuted us will decay until they wind up back in the Stone Age. And then we can rule the world.

As for Dubya starting a war with us, he'll be gone in 2008 (or hopefully, before), so he won't be a problem.

Everyone has to pretend to be something on a job interview. I've been on tons of them, and I always feel like such a fraud. My experiences are all true on my resume and I can do the job, but I've always felt going in to the interview that being *me* was never enough, I had to show them some super-me to get the job I felt I deserved.

Some of us "NTs" are already married to Aspies, and have aspie offspring. It is an interesting household, to say the least.

As to your issue with the servers, I think that's a sad generalization which if made from an NT would probably be considered in bad form. That said, our MIS guy at work is what I've seen referred to as "uber-NT". He's so NT it makes *me* nauseated. So no, not all 'techies' are aspies.

Aspies normally need to do more pretending than NTs. Not that I need a revolution, but I'd like a world with more acceptance of neurodiversity.

And our country will be far more technologicaly advanced, if you can imagine a place where aspies are what is normal, all of the NT acting & pressure is off of us then our productivity/creativeness will incease dramaticaly.

Only problem is most land masses large enough to support even the smallest of countries are taken up, except for the North & South Poles i think?
