thinking in past tense

so, like the title says, the majority of the time i find myself thinking in past tense, like i was writing a book about my life. this isn't exactly bad, but it kind of annoys me, and i wanted to know if anyone else did this, or if it's just me. maybe it's an asperger thing, or maybe i'm just weird like that. i just thought i'd check.

No. I think as if all my thoughts are being typed out into a letter to send someone. My thoughts are often "You _______" instead of I or Me.

I catch myself doing that, a lot.

Not exactly sure what tense, but I certainly analyze and record thoughts like a novel. Possibly part of the reason I'm a good writer.

I'm pretty sure most of my thoughts are in pictures, like little video clips. If I am imagining that I'm talking to someone, then I can think in phrases a bit, but I'm not sure if there is a tense to it.

Actually I'm not sure how I think. Sometimes I'm pretty sure I'm not thinking at all.

I don't think in past tense, but my brain is constantly analyzing everything like a mental overseer. It's like mentally running on two tracks simultaneously.

I do think in past tense but no more than I think in present tense or future tense.
