I tend to get anxious and stress out a lot in social situations, particularly larger groups. I was wondering how do most people here deal with anxiety and/or stress?

Yes I do have problems with Anxiety. I freak out when I'm in a crowded restruant, I freak out doing things that are out of the usual. I try not to freak out when at home with no music or sounds. I have to have sounds or music if I'm alone. Must have it. I freak out about my future.

I know the best thing to do is relax, but I just can't.

Ditto! Sometimes just concentrating on your breathing works, like taking 3 deep breaths and counting the seconds and then starting again. But usually my minds still racing while I'm trying to concentrate on only the breathing so it doesn't always work - still getting there

Absolutely! But, unfortunately, I think all I can do is remain silent sometimes. That, and in addition the fact that we just can't clear our minds and relax leads up to major difficulties with coping with this issue.
