Its my last year at high school and i absolutley loathe the place. I feel so out of place there being a 6th year.

a few points of why i hate high school

*I hate the whole instutionalised and repetative nature of school
*i feel out of place being a mature 6th year and being surrounded by lots of toe-raggy 13-15 year olds
*Im sick of judgemental teachers and narrow-minded jock type folk
* I've been doing the same thing for years and need a transition

All four of those points make me rather stressed and have had to take time off school and i will soon be getting counselling as a result of the stress and it didnt occur to me how much i despise school until a few days back where i got so stressed i was a hair away from my breaking point. I have now been looking for jobs in forestry and animal welfare so that i ccan get out of school asap, but unforunetley there isnt alot of jobs going around at the moment and if i stay on at school i can then go on to study social care at college and do something where i offer socio-emotional care to people with mental disabilities and learning needs such as people with downs syndrome and autistic spectrum disorder.

I'm hating my last year of high school too. Check THIS out. I had to repeat my sophomore year because I was struggling with depression. I was supposed to graduate last year but because I was held back I'm graduating this year. And I am NOT enjoying my senior year. For starters, all the kids are either cliquish or super-annoying. Also, the teachers are super-strict. I don't get to do ANYTHING! :x

I was nearly held back a year in MS. As far as HS goes, I just did only what was necessary and made it through.

Oddly enough, my last year of high school was the best. I managed to attract a bunch of misfit lower classmen to my lunch table. Good times were had.

I feel the same way, but I'm not even in my last year. I'm surrounded by idiots all day even in class. I can''t stand it, in primary school everybody actually sat down and listened to the teacher, did the work etc. As soon as they got to High School. Every last one of them decides that they are the "coolest" thing to ever exist.

I'm currently on my summer holidays, but I have three days left including this one. Then it's back for another year, luckily the first week is only a three day week thanks to Australia day.

I honestly believe that almost nothing taught in High School can be applied to the outside world. The way that classes are handled makes it so that you forget information as soon as it's no longer needed, there is constant stress...

Hopefully this year will be better, but I say that every year and it never happens.

*raises hand* Senior year, teachers that don't care, classmates that are idiots.... I could go on and on. I couldn't even make it through the first three months at my real school because I was having panic attacks and meltdowns. Now I take classes online and still hate it.

I hated every year of high school. Middle school was even worse. I was so out of place as a quiet kid in those massive public schools. The only parts I liked were the lectures in certain classes, mostly math and science. Or study time. Those minutes where no social skills were needed.

I just left school for 11-16, now at 2-year college courses. I absolutely hated school, even though it got some of the best grades in the country (the UK). None of the teachers or pupils seem to really know how to care about each other or be friends, and most of the stuff I "learnt" was meaningless and futile.

I reckon that after such prolonged torture I can't remember what it's like to have fun and enjoy learning.

I feel the same way, school is a boring place. because:
A, you have to write a paper and that's boring/frustrating.
B, there are quit a lot of mandatory subjects I dislike.
C, the Things I like are to easy, after the first ten minutes of listening to something too simple, it was 40 minutes of doing nothing.

Luckily I had some friends to cheer it up. And school let me go easily to university for some extra classes and stuff.

I'm currently in my last year of high school, the year I've been looking forward to since I was a freshman, and it's turning out to be the worst year of my entire high school career. This year is just so boring and uneventful, nothing exciting has happened yet.

Plus I made the mistake of signing up for a Statistics class even though I had already completed the necessary three years of math courses and didn't need anymore, I signed up for it as an elective and because I thought it would be easy. I was wrong. That class was hard! I struggled in it all first semester, and was completely miserable. I dropped it at the end of the semester, but it was too late to get a GPA exemption, so my grades in Statistics are going to massacre my GPA, no doubt.

I also hate the other students, but I've been hating them since I was a freshman. The high school I attend is possibly the worst school in the district. It's pretty much where all the ghetto, low-income students go. Plus the school has a huge teen pregnancy problem, thus it is totally normal to see pregnant students walking through the halls.

I think my best year in high school was my sophomore year. I made straight As and Bs all year long and I had a lot of fun with extracurricular activities.

I'm pretty much counting down the days till graduation.

My last year of high school actually was my best school year since the 5th grade. I had most of the required courses already done so most of my classes were made up of easy electives. College English and Business Math were the only two classes I needed, everything else were electives. I also seemed to get it together during my senior year social wise since I knew I never had to go back once I left.

Well, my life is over. This was the last day of my Summer holidays. Now I have yet another year of school to look forward to. At least there aren't too many to go. Well, if I get too depressed, I can always use "The Haven" for support...

I spent the first part of senior year in extra classes...just to waste time. I was all set for the required, just needed some more credits and the staff didn't care what it was.
I sat back in most of them and thought, "This is easy, just too damn easy...I"M SOOO BORED!! !" :x
Then, for my second half of senior year, I took advanced courses at the local community college to help towards my diploma and my future degree at the same time. Best move I've ever made in my life. The boredom was gone; I met some cool, mature people; I was greeted each day with a new challenge instead of the same dull crap my peers dealt with; and I am now ahead in my studies with extra college money (the high school reimberses you for the money you spent on certain college classes if you pass them.)

I hate senior year so much that I had suicidal thoughts last week. Fortunately, though, my IEP team is talking about my staying at school for only half a day so that I have more time to gain actual life skills.

I have already been accepted to a college. A good college. This somehow makes the anxiety worse.

I'm staying an extra year, I'll be a bit annoyed to stay again, but the people are only a year younger then me in my classes (been that way since grade 10) and it's much better then elementary :D
