No, there's something extremely wrong with his mind, I've hardly seen anything like it.

that is a shocking photo. he looks scary. it is strange to my mind that that photo you posted would probably endear him to most people.
all i see is absolute fakeness in that promo photo. i also did not realize he is so asymmetrical (but i do not judge by looks).

i do not care about him one way or the other really. i was told he was not even a qualified psychologist or psychiatrist although i did not check the truth of that.

i made the video because i was bored while waiting for some results i needed from a program that was running.
.
the one i dislike with intensity is ellen degeneres. i rush to get the remote control to avoid listening to that opening song at the start of her show that comes on after the morning news which i watch.
she walks in at the beginning of her show and always does some pathetic little dance like anyone could do in their bedroom to their stereo, and she receives frenzied howls of approval.
her audience constantly screams with approval at everything she does.
all she has to do is move an eyebrow, and there is another 5 minutes of hysterical applause.

it makes me wince because it cuts into my ears, and i see her audience as lunatics.

Folksiness overdose? Giant ego crushing his brain?

Or maybe just the part where he thinks he knows how everyone else should live and be, and that being really sure of himself means he must be right.

Oh yeah, and he originally (and maybe still) works in the criminal justice system -- imagine your credibility in court depending on that guy's opinions. Ugh.

Don't know and don't particularly care.

But what scares the tar out of me is that there's seemingly millions who hang on his every word, buy his diet book even knowing what he looks like, and actually seem to take him seriously when he dispenses advice.

Though I guess that would be my problem, and not his, right? :P

Don't compare yourself to him, ever.

I would have been bored out of my mind if I was on that show.

Every time that I see Doctor Phil, I think of that 'whack a mole' game. He reminds me of some over sized prairie dog who should be poking his big head out of one of those holes so someone can hit him on the head with a padded mallet. I do not know what his problem is, but he creeps me out and I have never been able to sit and listen to what he says, as when he starts talking, I feel my brains leaking out of my ears. How people can enjoy him, listen to him, agree with him... it is beyond me.

I like Dr. OZ better. Dr. Phil doesn't seem as passionate as dr. oz,

I totally agree. Dr. Phil, Ellen, Oprah, Trya Banks... they're all phony lunatics that should not have the massive following that they do.

Why, oh why do people love them??? It makes me very sad and scared to think about it.

lmao @ dossa and whack-a-mole. He totally does look like one of those things!

I don't think Ellen's phoney, I actually respect her. The other three, most certainly.

I watch Dr. Phil for the same reason I watch Maury - the crazy guests. It's for that reason I loved the Dr. Phil House every Monday, which was similar to Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, except it was more like Insanity Rehab with Dr. Phil.

I remember when Dr Phil came to Australia for a tour (sold quite a few tickets) and the counsellors society wanted him to not call himself Dr Phil.
because he has not had a psychologist licence for over 10 years apparently and the fact that he is listed as an entertainer in the US(according to this article i read).
